I wish I’d known about this in 1999. I had neighbors in Citrus Heights CA who were good, old fashioned racists, let you know just where they stood. (Not saying what race we are cause, in the words of Madame Secretary, “What Does It MATTER?”) Neighbors Bill & Flo would bring their miniature collies (poor things, genetically overbred) over to deliberately crap on our lawn. I went to the Citrus Height city planning office to ask for an authorized sign. The planners got a look of hatred on their faces, started shouting at me with accusations of illegal signage, I calmly explained that I had no signs, I needed an authorized one, they refused to hear, continued in their accusations. Now I live in Rocklin, home of historical Whitney Ranch, there are public signs everywhere warning against the health hazards of dog waste.

Yeah go after the guy who doesnt want others having their dogs crapping on his lawn and not picking it up.

I love animals and have my own but I don’t force my animals on anyone else and nobody else cleans up after my guys but me.

Nobody respects others’ property anymore. I am sure he’d rather be ble to do something to the irresponsible dog owners.

That’s even better, but I was thinking about land mines.

Bacon grease works better than chocolate for this problem. When you see someone walking a dog in the direction of your yard, have some bacon drippings standing by near the microwave. Pour some over the poop and *presto* - the dog will clean it right up.

If that grosses out the dog's owner, they'll choose another route.

I’ve found the best way to get rid of moles is to get rid of their food supply. Kill the bugs and the moles move to your neighbors lawn.

Some dog owners might be learning the hard way. Doesn’t that dumbass town have a leash law——for owners? And ain’t it curious how the dogs can’t poop until they get to this guy’s place?
It’s been quite awhile but I once re-trained a dumbass owner by using exlax-—not regular chocolate chips. The guy was so proud of his house dog——but his house was never the same. And BTW, in my town the owners can be cited and fined for not picking up. Passing out a few fines, using gamecam shots as evidence, should keep his yard clean. There is always a way to re-train an uncourteous dunderhead.

My home owners association tried to put a dog waste station on the edge of my lot. Basically a trash can with a supply of dog poop baggies. Imaging being down wind from that on a hot Florida day.

Chocolate may not be all that toxic to some dogs. My Aunt and Uncle had a toy poodle they fed chocolate icecream to every night for 14 years.

If his lawn is that important to him, I’d suggest a fence. I hope his house is over-run by ants.

But I agree that people should clean up after their dogs and not let them run loose. But putting out something that could sicken or kill a dog isn’t cool.

I had a dog almost die from eating a dead mouse it found in the back yard that had died from mouse poison. My dog had black tarry diarrhea that was horrid and frightening, but an administration of vitamin K stopped him from dying from it.

Do no harm is a mantra I try to live by.

As far as I know, milk chocolate will not harm dogs but dark chocolate will.

But that aside, I would not do anything like this personally. The dogs don’t know any better, it’s the dog owners that are the problem.

I am a dog walker, I carry plastic bags with me, and I pick up my German Shepherd’s poop, which at times are impressively large piles.

I wear the bag on my had like a glove, pick up the poop, and let the bag turn inside out and tie it up with the poop inside.

So, my neighbors see me walking with bags of poop all the time, they don’t give me any trouble and I don’t give them any trouble.

I also think it isn’t a good idea to leave piles of poop around on lawns where kids obviously play. It is raw sewage after all, and dog poop from an unhealthy dog can have dangerous parasites in it, so come on, let’s clean that sh*t up.

Sahra is probably one of those who do not pickup after their dogs.

This guy sounds like a nut and a potentially dangerous one at that.

Having your property rights violated can do that to a person. Perhaps the dog owners might consider being more responsible with other people's property? Those that fail to respect private property rights are the nuts and dangerous ones.

So, what he did is working.
