So Cruz and Trump are for amnesty? Well yes both are but all the GOP nominees are for amnesty. Every GOP nominee is going to let some or all illegal aliens stay in the US. NOBODY is going to deport illegals in large numbers.
Cruz and Trump are the two who have the best ideas for securing the border. NONE of the others will secure the border.

As you well know Trump and Cruz are almost in lockstep on their immigration policies. As by now do all Freepers. They both will allow most illegals to stay in this country and give them permanent legal status.
If you are not rounding them up and deporting them you are granting them amnesty. Cruz has already said he will go along with the Gang of Eight language which will give the illegals green cards. Trump will likely go along with the same thing. So far Trump has just said he will grant the law abiding productive illegals with legal status. Not citizenship. However once you get a green card you at some point can apply for citizenship.
BTW I like Cruz and Trump’s immigration plans as they are very similar and much better than any of the other candidates. Cruz and Trump will attempt to secure the border and then let most illegals stay.
