Those who think Donald Trumps bid for the Republican presidential nomination is little more than an ego trip, super-sized, should probably reconsider.
The bombastic billionaire from the five boroughs ranks just behind the little man from the Monopoly game when it comes to conspicuous displays of wealth. He lacks anything close to a natural political constituency. Hes been a major donor to candidates and causes on both sides of the aisle and does not, it seems, have anything close to a consistent political ideology. And that, for most political professionals and commentators, is reason enough not to take him seriously.
According to a Suffolk University poll of potential voters in the upcoming New Hampshire Republican presidential primary released last week however, Trump at 11 percent comes in second, ahead of every other candidate in the race save for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

Agree.
Yep.
They damn sure do not want Cruz as he is at 4%.
I like the fact that Trump bullies back!!! Republicans for way too long have allowed themselves to be pushed around. If Trump does nothing else, I hope he exposes America’s Republicans to the people’s desire to punch back!
Oh, no they don't. People want someone who will speak up and stir the pot
The political class wants stability, the brand of stability that doesn't challenge their self-ordained supremacy.
OK we’ll see. I could be wrong but I don’t think so. The right wants some red-meat but the ones who decide don’t want to risk the country on Trump.
Someone badly needs to say the things, which Trump is saying absolutely fearlessly.
We have been on the defense and losing for an entire generation.
NOBODY is saying what is wrong, except Trump, and he is shouting it from the rooftops.
Trump is completely right. He deserves a lot of support.
[Im liking what Trump is doing. Quite a lot.]
This is the one time I can actually agree with you but not for the same reasons. What is happening to Trump is a blatant violation of Freedom of Speech.
It’s a start. :D
Trump’s words are showing what wimps all the rest are!
He damn sure is not going to back down to the likes of CAIR and Iran. He just gave Spanish TV a wrath of crap.
[Its a start. :D]
I’ve read the other threads on FR and he has gotten a lot more respect for his stand on Mexico, HOWEVER, if he backs down, IN ANY WAY, he will not only be finished off as a candidate but as an (icon) in the country.
Candy Crowley: "Obama had used the term act of terror during remarks at The White House the day after the attack!"
Trump: "Wait a damn minute sister! That is totally wrong and what the hell are you doing inserting your opinion and commentary in to this debate? This is absurd! This sounds like a setup question to me! This is not a news show, it is a debate! You are not here for commentary! Besides, your comment is not based in fact and indeed this administration pushed the outright lie that that a stupid video was the reason for the attack! Can we get a replacement for this person who apparently does not understand her role here? As far as I'm concerned - you're fired!"
I am growing to like Trump Better and Better—He gets people angry, gets people to say crazy things, he gets voters to think. This is NOT a traditional run for the White House. He can make the libs, the RINOs the sancamonious News critters stutter. I can only imagine him in a debate. When can I get a Trump bummper sticker? Maybe I will make one myself—it would read “TRUMP—2016!”
Every day Trump takes another unapologetic stand on an issue that resonates with a segment of society.
They are so astonished to see someone saying what they think needs saying that they are thereafter willing to overlook his faults in other areas.
Thus is he building a large base of supporters. It’s a snowball effect... if he can keep it up he will become unstoppable.
He could end up with the Reagan Democrats and every disgruntled GOP voter who despises the GOPe [a big group]
