I know a couple planning on retiring in Puerto Rico or Belize.
Puerto Rico looks like an investment long term. Property is cheap there, and either the economy is going to collapse (restart), or it’s gonna get fixed (lower taxes, pro business).
I could see living on a tropical island.

My friend moved to Mexico. She said “ it's really safe, there are guards everywhere!”.
