While the “free exercise clause” has been held not to permit some actions of individuals (ie. Polygamy or human sacrifice), the Jehovah’s Witness cases have shown that it has some teeth. I guess the Senator equates refusal to violate one’s sincerely held beliefs against promoting a behavior are comparable to human sacrifice?

You should put an (/s) after that comment. We have a few Dr. Sheldon Coopers on FR and sarcasm escapes them.

Yes, that too.
Including antidepressant and other mood altering drugs, legal or otherwise.

This shows just how deeply the Marxists in the Obama administration feel they are entrenched and how terrified they are of our founding documents which limit their ability to control us completely.

You know what is sickening. No Republican politician will make a political issue out of this.

That's exactly right and that is what is the most frustrating for me anymore.

Beck is crazy as a bed bug at times, he called it aka "the right to worship". This Senator is telecasting what is coming and doing her job as an apparatchikical useful idiot.

I am so glad I was blessed with a prime cut...born 1950 raised in the Midwest, migrated to Florida and thankful and greatful to this great nation for all I have and responsible to myself for all I don't.

"As the cool and deliberate sense of the community ought, in all governments, and actually will, in all free governments, ultimately prevail over the views of its rulers; so there are particular moments in public affairs when the people, stimulated by some irregular passion, or some illicit advantage, or misled by the artful misrepresentations of interested men, may call for measures which they themselves will afterwards be the most ready to lament and condemn. In these critical moments, how salutary will be the interference of some temperate and respectable body of citizens, in order to check the misguided career, and to suspend the blow meditated by the people against themselves, until reason, justice, and truth can regain their authority over the public mind?"James Madison - Federalist Papers, No. 63, 1788

Just remember, this is the same party that put into Congress an elected official who questioned a General whether Guam would sink by putting too many service personnel on the island. The funny thing is, they always try to portray our candidates as the stupid ones. Name the Republican pol who thought Gaum was going to sink...

To Tammy, the First Amendment is just an obstocle for her party to do what they actually want....

Don’t expect intellectual consistency out of a leftist.
The issue is never the issue, the issue is the “revolution”.

And don’t expect them to be embarrassed by their hypocrisy - again, the “revolution” is far too morally valuable to be embarrassed about how you advance it.
