Actually, if it’s really a dopamine pathway issue, then liberalism may be curable with the proper medication.

Of course. If you are conceived with the stupid gene you’ll be a liberal.
To: Red Badger
Yes, if you are genetically predisposed to have poor impulse control and low intelligence you will not be a conservative.

r vs K selection
One maximizes scarce resources to a few individuals, the other maximizes consumption and reproduction to cover an abundance of resources.

Per a couple of TED talks, there are a few psychological differences:
* liberals are hard to disgust, which may be why the “purity” channel (sexual purity type of morality) doesn’t matter to them
* conservatives tend to have greater fear of the unknown and risks, while liberals have a far greater drive for novelty, hence their urge to shake up society without fear of consequences while conservatives value preserving what works
* liberals’ lower in group loyalty leads to despising nationalism and seeking to undermine dominant group symbols; combined with the high novelty, they want immigration to break up the bland majority to add diversity and (in their opinion) make things more interesting

Of course. If you get the genes for stupidity, you’re likely to end up a “Liberal.” If you’re lucky enough to get the genes for intelligence, you’ll be conservative, honest, and realistic, and you’ll probably wind up posting on Free Republic.

Savage was right,Liberalisim IS a mental disorderThis PC stuff is really just doubling down in Marxism; i.e., applying Marxism not just to economic classes, but race, sex, sexual perversions; etc. Such a mental operation would make anyone mad. Look at Bruce Willis and Rachel Dolezal (sp). There is a youtube were one of these genital self mutilators tries to hurt Ben Shapiro for calling him/it, sir:
Ben Shapiro Comments on Transgender HLN Fiasco.

I think the latter part of the argument is correct, regarding the novelty, but the loyalty to the group mattered greatly to Communists and Nazis. Many of the communists/world socialists in Nazi Germany converted to National Socialism quite easily. Maybe it was also due to the hope that they would be the new masters, not the peons. Even though that would have never worked out for the majority of them.

“What they found was a robust link between the presence (or not) of the variant and a split between liberals inclined to decry inequality, on the one hand, and die-hard conservative wary of change, on the other.”
I reject the whole premise of the hypothysis.
