Get ready for Superwinter - Old Farmer's Almanac predicts record setting cold spells
Daily Mail ^ | August 18, 2015 | AP

Just when you thought you had gotten over last winter, be warned: The Old Farmer's Almanac predicts it will be super cold with a slew of snow for much of the country, even in places that don't usually see too much of it, like the Pacific Northwest.

It says there will be above-normal snow and below-normal temperatures for much of New England; icy conditions in parts of the South; and frigid weather in the Midwest.

The snowiest periods in the Pacific Northwest will be in mid-December, early to mid-January and mid- to late February, the almanac predicts.

If true, this will be our third brutal winter in a row in Western PA. And I would trust the Almanac before I trusted those global warming whores.

From the article: "The ability to predict events that far in advance is zero,' says Knight."

I guess the climate change scammers haven't gotten the memo.

EPA crashed coal stocks and Soros is buying them up.

The stench of corruption just keeps getting stronger with this bunch of criminals.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Last year the Fed predicted lower snowfall than average, which was being discussed on a local talk show. Everyone was saying since the Government was predicting it, it must be somewhat true. I called in and told the host “If the Gubmint said it, you better go out and buy TWO snow shovels, because the Gubmint hasn’t told the truth since the Mocha Messiah got in.” The libs exploded at that but in Early May I called the host and reminded him of my warning. Libs never said a thing to that call.

this will be our third brutal winter in a row

The winters so far have only been very cold.

The brutal winters are still coming, and we'll wish for the good old days of very cold winters..

"Indeed, NASA oceanographer Bill Patzert, who compares this El Niño to Godzilla, said satellite measurements show it is currently more powerful than 1997-98."

"This El Niño is likely to make northern winters warmer and southeastern U.S. winters a bit cooler, but not much, said Halpert. The middle of the U.S. usually doesn’t get too much of an El Niño effect, he said."

NOAA (and NASA) do not have a good track record on long range predictions. My money is on Old Farmers

Geez I hope this isn’t true. In S.E. VA last Feb was brutal and the entire winter was cold, cold, cold! I usually never wear a winter coat...a light jacket or sweater usually suffices. That’s one of the main reasons I live here. But not last winter!

“The Farmers’ Almanac’s Web site explains that its forecaster (referred to only by his pseudonym, Caleb Weatherbee) uses a ‘top secret mathematical and astronomical formula, that relies on sunspot activity, tidal action, planetary position and many other factors’ to predict weather sixteen months in advance for seven different U.S. climate zones”
