Word For The Day, Monday, 8/24/15
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
suffuse; ;verb
verb (used with object), suffused, suffusing. 1. to overspread with or as with a liquid, color, etc Synonyms cover, pervade, diffuse, bathe, flood.
Etymology: C16: from Latin suffūsus overspread with, from suffundere, from sub- + fundere to pour

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Here is my example with WFTD.
September is suffused with fears of financial apocalypse.
No pushing at the door please!
come one, come all. class is in session.
You want me to post something funny?
Well, I suffuse to!
pretty please, with sugar on top? ; )
anyone who is so inclined, please say a prayer for my daughter today, as it’s her first day back to work after her maternity leave. I remember how hard that day was, 20+ years ago, myself.
Maybe in keeping with the meaning of the word -
drenched in syrup!
Morning.
OK, now I am hungry.
I’m glad I suffused my lip with high SPF lip grease last week on vacation, as I too often get a sun burn on my lip and it looks like a nasty herp sore. Not this time!
Prayers for her. Why do we go against our natures and instincts and leave our babies to go to work? It boggles the mind that we do this.
suffused with sweetness?
The Iran deal: Barack doth suffuse
Us with choices designed to confuse
“If you’re anti, not for
Then you’re opting for war”
It will happen; Thank God for tough Jews
There is a certain problem with being short (betting on the downside) at times like these and that problem is hiding the big smirk on your face.
to be perfectly honest, I think part time is ideal. I felt I had the best of both worlds. the days I was home with them I was excited and happy to be there, and did not consider it drudgery. I have told her the same. She asked me last week, will he resent me for sending him to daycare? I said, do you resent me? she said, we didn’t go to daycare. no they didn’t but they were not with me every day either, first I had the shared nanny with our neighbors and then later my friend from law school who was home with her kids, took the three of them 3 days per week for me. He will be in daycare 2 days per week and his days will there will not be full days since I will be picking him up at 3 pm. I think this will be fine.
yes, Bless Bibi! A++++ xshub played me something that Jackie Mason had on the ad taken out by the Hollywood Jews, supporting the iran deal. he is hilarious.
how are you feeling?
I don’t know short from tall ; ) we have to be counting down days to baby at this point, don’t we? she must be going to the dr weekly.
Will do. It's not something I'm looking forward to at our house either.
That’s no capacitor you dummy, that’s suffuse.
my son in law is taking babysitting duty this first week back. he’s going to take him to do MANLY things since as soother pointed out on Twitter last week, xsteen had him out at the Lilly Pulitzer sale and to a tea room, two somewhat womanly pursuits! do you have childcare plans in place? how much time can she take for maternity leave?
