WASHINGTON, Aug 30 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Monday will officially restore Denali as the name of North America's tallest mountain, ending a 40-year battle over what to call the peak that has been known as Mount McKinley.

With his presidency being such a disaster, he’s desperate to do something, anything, that can be seen as a positive for his legacy.

So are you suggesting that the Feds imposed the name “McKinley” over Alaska’s wishes?

Alaska was never asked, and since they have been lobbying for decades to have the name changed back to Denali then I'd say they probably were never for the McKinley name. So yeah, Obama is doing the right thing here. But I'm sure he won't make a habit out of it.
