Donald Trump has been severely criticized by his critics by suggesting that illegal aliens must be deported. Yet former presidents, Republican and Democrat, have in the past deported millions of illegal aliens.

Send them home, pay a fine, let them back in ahead of those doing it legally.

Same old, same old.

California was smart to give all those illegals Drivers Licenses. Now we know where they are so it makes it easier to deport them.

Cue Harry Reid on the floor of the US Senate in 1992 when he said "No sane country would permit birthright citizenship."

Back during the great depression, Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.

Harry Truman deported over two million illegal aliens after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

In 1954 Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexicans. The program was called Operation Wetback. It was done so WWII and Korean War veterans would have a better chance at jobs.

But, but, but - according to liberals it can't be done...

“Send them home, pay a fine, let them back in ahead of those doing it legally.

How about YOU TELL US who else is willing to send them home and build a wall...regardless of what comes after that. WHO ELSE will get us to that point. Has Cruz talked mass deportations?

I don’t think Trump will do those things. Based on his real history not his words. His words are pretty cheap.

A fair concern...and he is an entertainer and performer. But sometimes you simply have no choice. Even Cruz would likely get chewed up by the Washington insiders if he did win the big prize. The ONLY PERSON who has a shot of righting this country is Trump and that is based on what he has (albeit recently) said and the fact that if he follows through on his promises he’ll actually be able to get it done.

We’re pretty much out of time to again try to play it safe.

How about an earned green card program for working for 5 years building our new border wall? It’s shovel ready!

“How about an earned green card program for working for 5 years building our new border wall? It’s shovel ready!”

Say what you will about “stimulus programs” paid for by the government, but when done right, they can be GREAT INVESTMENTS, like Hoover Dam, or landing on the Moon.

Building a wall is similar...the payoff is HUGE regarding the obvious - cutting way back on Illegals, and the not-so-obvious, but even more important - which is preventing this country from being Third World (due to a single-party Democrat country), which WILL result if these people got to stay here and vote.

If the wall really does cost $30B it will be like Keystone on steroids, as far as well-paying jobs are concerned.

It’s too bad they didn’t use some of that US labor force to build the border barrier then, after kicking out millions.

It probably didn't occur to people in the 1950'a that at some point in the future US politicians would be such wusses they would be unable to protect American citizens from something as benign as illiterate Mexicans walking across the border.

It can be done. Cutting to the chase; we must restore what is left of the rule of law in America. There may be one chance left to do it, and we must choose carefully what we do next. There are more than political answers involved, but our next President MUST have the courage and skill to pull it off.The illegal working population can be removed and in short time returned legally(per Trump). The trick is to do so without completely destroying the remnants of our economy.
First: Do build a serious wall over where it will do the most good, modeled on the Israeli example. Provide the personnel to man it and operate the electronic barriers elsewhere; as in:Warning Shots Will Not Be Fired.
Second: After border control, institute a one year moratorium on visas for Mexicans, with rare exception.
Third: Notify ALL employers, with copy care, US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE that E-Verify WILL be enforced.
Fourth:Establish a “fast track” for removal of working full or part time illegals using E-verify. Implement this on a “rolling” time line which tries to not put the employer out of business; while returning these employees,as legal alien residents to a specific Employer as soon as possible.
Fifth:The remaining Illegal population on welfare and not working must be identified through government records and be notified they have a specific period of time to return to their country of former residence to await LEGAL reentry for an E-verified job offer;OR all welfare funds and benefits will be cut off.
Could this plan, or something like it work? I think yes; and yes, there would be pure hell to pay. Wild? Utopian? If not this, then what? Is there a “kinder and gentler way that we can come up with that will not endanger our order and peace, and remove an irreplaceable piece of our hearts? What could have been done an easier way 30 years ago, will now take all the courage and determination that we , and who we elect, can find. Much can be done by existing law. Some can be done by Executive Order; and, God willing, MOST by legislation. We may have only one more chance to get this right. Choose carefully, Government by default awaits in the wings.
