Smoke is terrible where I am. Looked worse over towards Reno. Butte fire is eating up a lot of acreage. Reports say winds will make smoke in our area worse tomorrow!

I saw one comment posted in Arabic on the Twitter feed and put it into a translator. All it said was, “California Warning Elly close to the people in the areas map.” Those translators can be screwy sometimes and I think “Elly” is supposed to be “Very”. Just a guess based on other screwy things this translator has spit out in the past. But the comment is nothing sinister.
That fire on the other hand .... holy cow! Prayers up for all in its path and for the firefighters battling it.

Some people are so deranged with Muslim-Terrorist-On-Mind that can’t allow for any other possibility.
I grew up in Lake County, but don’t live there now. This is a VERY BAD fire. In a normal year the area is very dry, but this year it is unbelievably bad. There are a lot of people with no way to escape. Pray for the residents and the fire crews.
Not related to lake cry fire but in Yosemite the smoke was terrible. Mid day it was dark as sunset Friday.

Yep, I’ve noticed that too. There is such a thing as mixing dangerous conditions with stupid behavior and getting really bad consequences. It happens.
