I’ve cleaned bathrooms in my early career.....women’s was always trashed.
If I ever saw a line at the men's room, I'm finding the nearest tree or an empty container. No way would I wait in a line just to take a pee. Those women waiting like that are insane.

Yes, the initiative will pass overwhelmingly, and the day it passes a federal judge will suspend it, eventually using The Equal Protections clause to justify his decision to nullify the initiative. We have lost representation in our government. If our voting system had any integrity, which it doesn’t, based as it is upon secrecy and garbage computer tabulation, secret counts if indeed there are any counts. No one can or will validate tabulation; there is no audit trail in the U.S.. Why do you think “True The Vote”, a Texas non-profit, was descended upon seven times by IRS, FBI, ATF, and other enforcers over five or so years? No small groups or individuals dare challenge the controls now in place and being expanded. We still have a measure of 1st Amendment respect, but control of the Internet will close most of those doors.
Reminds me of a visit to Paris. When you entered a large “men’s room” for public use, there was an irrigated wall and trough used for the men’s urinal along one wall, and the toilets were arranged along the opposite wall, without stalls. No privacy whatsoever. In the middle of all of this was a French charwoman with mop in hands mopping away as the men utilized the facilities with no privacy whatsoever. Didn’t visit the women’s facilities....
I have a daughter, older now, but if this was happening when she was young, I would simply go into the restroom with her and stand guard at the stall door. If they don’t object to men in the girls bathroom they would have no cause to deny me the right to guard my daughter in the restroom.
If in a skirt or dress you have to hold it up so that no portion of clothing touches the toilet, underwear have to stretched under tension at the knees to ensure that they do not touch the floor.
The purse and whatever bags are being carried must stay in the hand that is not holding the skirt to make sure said bags do not touch the floor.
Now the lady has to aim at a target (the toilet) that is behind her, which she cannot see (do they use sound to judge if they are on target?), while holding a pose that would make a yogi proud.
One hand holding up a skirt or dress, the second hand holding purse or bags (always assume the hook in stall will be broken), knees spread enough to hold panties up, and here's the kicker, bum hovering over the toilet because every lady knows you can't actually sit on the toilet. It's nasty and filthy and I don't blame them for not wanting to sit on it.
Now they are done, remember that both hands are being used to hold things, and now they have to figure out how to wipe without using their hands.
Add to this the fact that for all practical purposes, the lady that has just used the bathroom now has to get dressed. If you have a wife or a girlfriend, you know how long it takes for a lady to get dressed. I'm actually surprised it doesn't take longer.
I make sure that when my bride has to use a public restroom, that I have all the bags, her purse, and jacket or sweater if she has one. It's the least I can do for someone about to go on a task worthy of Homer.

About 99% of homosexuals and child rapists, FRiend. Men's rooms are a prime cruising spot for gay men. That is the problem. Well, one of the problems.
Other problems include adult pervs putting their cell phones over or under the stall partitions to photograph girls with their pants down, men flashing their junk to use urinals in front of others in the room (picture this opportunity for pervs to harass females or young boys in a "unisex" room), and pervs developing a sexual fixation on someone in the bathroom and following them out.
Sadly, some people simply cannot separate the idea of waste elimination from the idea of sexual organs being exposed behind those thin walls with peekaboo slits along the door frames. Being in the bathroom is arousing for them. Grown men have no business in a women's room; and parents must be vigilant allowing their young boys into a men's room without supervision.
