Virginia has banned driving with a license plate that depicts the Confederate flag — but some in the state are resisting.
Around 1,600 Virginians with state-issued Confederate flag plates received a letter last month from the DMV saying they had until October 4 to swap them out for new ones that don’t show the flag. Only 187 people have so far complied.
One man who has not is Kevin Collier.
“Next thing you know, they’re going to say you can’t wear blue on Monday … or you can’t wear yellow on Thursday,” Collier, who is active with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, told a local news channel. “Where’s it going to end?”

There was much passive-aggressive resistance in the small country of Denmark during the Second World War, after it was occupied by Nazi Germany. It is said, that in a meeting with Adolf Hitler, King Christian X was warmly greeted by the leader of the Third Reich, who proclaimed, “Now two great Nordic nations may be joined as one!” To which, the King drily replied, “I am much too old to accept the rule of Germany.”
Danes felt a great allegiance to Great Britain, and maintained many clandestine contacts across the North Sea, in fact, spiriting most of their relatively small Jewish population out of the country, including a physicist, Niels Bohr. Dr Bohr was eventually transferred to the US, where he was involved in the theoretical studies that led to the construction of the first atomic weapons. The Bohr family was not originally Jewish, but his mother, Ellen Adler, was Jewish, and that would have been enough of a taint in the eyes of the racial purists to have sent him to a death camp, or at least long-term internment.
While the Danish partisan movement was not nearly as bloody as that of, say, Yugoslavia, or even France, they did an excellent job of espionage and harassment against the occupying Germans, and there never was any level of trust built up between the Danes and Germans during that period. Unlike Quisling Norway or Vichy France, the government never became officially an “ally” of the Third Reich.
We may have to do a lot of low-level resistance, but we never have to feel helpless or dumbfounded.

I went bicycle riding on a rails-to-trails deal about a month ago. Very nice, gorgeous. But there were many more Confederate flags flying on the homes we passed than Stars and Stripes.
Folks there haven’t embraced the message, and aren’t likely to, I imagine.
Absolutely.
The plates are a government-issued item, and if you read the fine print, probably never belong to us as individuals at all.
That doesn’t mean you can’t put a Confederate flag bumper sticker or an actual flag on a pole from your car or truck.

I have my doubts. Most people like Socialism. Rush talked about this yesterday in the campaign funding Communist Bernie Sanders has amassed. It dwarves the entire GOP spectrum from the masses supporting an avowed Socialist.
Real Americans have a declining birthrate that dooms our culture in less than a generation anyway - and the politicians are replacing us as I type this with 3rd world squatters and 'Islamic refugees'.
But if we must fight to resist tyranny - let us make it as painful as possible.
I live in the heart of the major Civil War battlefields of Virginia. Lots of trucks flying the Confederate flag. Won’t matter if plates are taken away. Liberals haven’t made this far to rename the local Robert E. Lee Elementary School or Jefferson Davis Highway.
Every time I see one of those, I get the sudden urge to ram the vehicle with my vehicle..

Answer: Yes.
Word goes out from the VA governor’s office: any vehicle with a Rebel flag plate will be stopped, officers to deploy deadly force & prone out driver who will be ticketed. Unplated vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense.
There has been talk of doing just that. And taking down the statues on Monument Ave in Richmond.
