Sex. Some of us do it, most of us like it and we all think about it
. A lot. I know I do (though I was told that its normal). Gettin busy really isnt the taboo subject that it once was. Whereas once upon a time the conversation was relegated to whispers behind closed doors, nowadays its discussed openly and without shame. As a stand-up comedian, Ive seen hacks openly depict the most depraved, explicit sexual acts they can think of just to get a laugh out of the audience. Clearly, telling wiener jokes is no longer the treading of new territory that it once was. Funnily enough, today there is one area of sex that when discussed, still makes peoples posteriors pucker with discomfort
abstinence. The idea of abstinence has become somewhat of a punchline in this country. From the myth of unrealistic abstinence only education, to the medias constant portrayal (and mockery) of young, nerdy, out of touch Christians riddled with chastity pendants, the message on abstinence being pumped through pop-culture is clear; If youre abstinent its either because A) youre ugly or B) youre a loser. In my case, it was often both. Maybe its just the lack of fun-factor, or maybe it started with harlotry being misused as a fulcrum for womens liberation, but if you so much as suggest to someone that abstinence might be beneficial, youll often find yourself vilified as a judgmental jackass faster than Bill Maher can throw up his dainty hands. Sure, Michelle Obama can run around the country and condemn little fatties for inhaling Little Debbies, but if you try and apply that same helpful, healthful concept to sex, its seen as pushy and/or prudish.

Answer not in first paragraph. FAIL!
Regards,
P.S. Or answer so obvious (sexually transmitted diseases) that it doesn't warrant an article about it.
Abstinence is fine until someone makes you WANT to do it.
Knowing that the author is now married, I had to go back and check the date it was posted. Obviously, he is referring to extramarital sex. He is spot on about how abstinence prior to marriage enhances your eventual marriage. My husband loves that he is the only man for me - ever. I was faithful to him even before meeting him, he trusts me completely. No small thing as his first wife had four affairs in four years of marriage.
And, yes, the fact that he hadn’t been abstinent outside of marriage affected me in a negative way. God’s way is the best way.
Forced abstinence is like forced charity, or forced volunteering.
STDs are so rampant if you find someone who wants to have sex with you easily you have to wonder what you are opening yourself up to, down there.
Risk diseases, risk permanent diseases, risk pregnancy, risk cild support, risk murder/abortion, risk destroying relationships with others. Not to mention immorality. Very low upside with an overwhelming downside.
Judging from all the TV adverts for cures for menopausal women with painful sex issues, sounds like there are more than a few looking for an excuse to abstain.

Why not having paragraph breaks may be hazardous to your thread.
Menopause does change women overall about sex in a very big way usually
A well balanced HRT IS A GODSEND trust me
That bitch study Women’s Health Initiative funded and manned by lesbians and fembots that destroyed HRT was highly political and purposely used women in their study at an average age in their 70s which is about 20 years older than most taking hormone replacement and an age when health issues fall off the cliff
They used that natural cliff dive due to age and blamed it on HRT
Arguably the worst women’s health study ever done....worse than the breast implants data shenanigans
HRT saved my wife from tottering on an abyss
Menopause is no excuse not to want to screw
It’s a profound life change for most....there are exceptions
It can change the Fbunny of the century into an angry dried up harridan in short order
No woman wants to be that way usually...married women in particular
No comment, he types, looking over his shoulder..................
:-)
I give up. What is HRT?
Hormone replacement therapy. Estrogen pills.
Mrs. JohnnyP had a malignant lump removed from one breast a couple years ago. The doc said it was caused by estrogen. And she’s never had HRT.
We celebrated our 41st anniversary yesterday. I asked her if she wanted to play “squidgium” (it’s a line from an old WC Fields movie). She laughed and said that very cute.
The screen fades to black and the fireworks show starts....
Golf is better than sex. It lasts 4 hours, lots of fresh air, green grass, company of 3 pals, never catch any STD’s, no costs after it is finished, makes you walk 6 miles, you do not need to wine and dine the green’s keeper before playing, the golf course never has a headache, and never boring or repetitious.
You are so right on there. As long as hormone replacement is not oral, it’s a godsend. I started long ago due to a brain tumor and you will have to kill me to get me to stop. It does need to be transdermal or other than oral, though.
Of course. Thanks!
What is HRT for those of us less well educated?
Sorry, did not read all of the posts. My fault.
Any other sex is bad for you.
Golf is worse than sex. Four hours of frustration, doing all that work just trying to get it into the hole 18 times. Lots of costs after it is finished and you divvy up the skins with your 3 pals. The wining and dining occurs at the 19th hole. The golf course gives you the headache. But no, it's never boring.
So that explains the fascination with golf.
