All right I will start the discussion. If there is a conspiracy, especially one of a magnitude of assassinating a sitting President, a good number of people must have been involved. It is possible for ALL of those people to have said nothing to no one for almost 52 years?

I’m an agnostic on who did the assassination and why.

But there is no doubt that the liberals used it after the fact to push their agenda, as Rush says.

(E.g., the front page of the NY Times the day after the assassination had a straight news story accurately describing Oswald, but also an opinion piece by Scotty Reston blaming it on a climate of violence caused by right-wingers. On the front page. On the day after.)

I don’t know enough to say one way or the other.

The Cigarette Smoking Man is my favorite X-File character.

There’s a multi-episode revival of X-Files coming out soon, and he’s supposed to be in it, but the actor William Davis has really aged.

There is nothing magic about the magic bullet. It is far from pristine and forensic reenactments have shown repeatedly that the neck would on President Kennedy line up perfectly with the wounds on Gov Connolly.

Watch the video.

I recently listened to one conspiracy theorist who had the entire leadership of the American government, at the time, involved in Kennedy’s death. The conspiracy theories are more incredible than the theory Oswald acted alone.

I enjoy listening to conspiracy theories, in part, to critique them. I personally think that the Warren Commission Report was flawed and we don't know the complete story of the assassination. IMO, all the conspiracy theories have holes in them but the Oswald-as-a-lone-assassin theory is perhaps one of the least compelling. Personally, I think that Carlos Marcello had a major role in it.

I have friends involved in law enforcement and all have told me that most complicated crimes have loose ends which don't fit well into the crime theory.

No, they aren’t. They defy commonsense and fall apart under anything resembling close examination.

This was part of a running feud between the Kennedys and the Mafia, which had lost their cushy domination of the casinos in Battista’s Cuba. The failed Bay of Pigs invasion, preventing the takeback of the Cuban archipelago island chain, was a point of sharp contention between the JFK Administration and the East Coast Mafioso. Another player in this game was Cuba’s Castro, who was beginning to feel the pinch of the embargo that had been laid on Cuba following the missile crisis. It is highly telling that the assassin sent to take down JFK was tied in a number of ways with the Castro regime, but those connections were either covered up and denied, or downplayed to the point of insignificance.

JFK, all along, had been working with the Mafia, and Castro was counterpunching, below the belt. The Soviet Union was forced to stand off, but they lent their expertise to the Cubans, and that, in large part, was how Lee Harvey Oswald was put into place.

The rest, as they say, became history. But the basis is still only poorly understood by the public, and lies buried in archives that are still sealed for decades to come.

If people still wonder why the embargo against the Castro regime lasted for so many decades, it was kept in place as a memorial to John F. Kennedy.

I've posted about this before. In college, I had the misfortune of having as a roommate the Vice President of College Democrats. He believed every word of the movie 'JFK'. We were in the post office when he went on one of his rants, 'The CIA killed Kennedy!''The CIA killed Kennedy!''The CIA killed Kennedy!'

I had to drag his stupid ass out of there before he got us both arrested.

Far from pristine? Are you serious??

That bullet didn’t pass through anyone, not even ballistic gel.

You need to stop reading tin foil hat sources. It’s been examined by ballistic experts many times and the shot has been repeated in numerous forensic tests with very similar, sometimes near identical results.

Read Posner’s book and Vincent Bugliosi’s book

Reclaiming History covers this in detail and destroys the so called magic bullet conspiracy theories.

People attacking the so called “magic bullet” never discuss Connelly’s wounds. The fact that the entry point was in the back absolutely points to a shooter in Oswald's position, and the fact that that entry wound was oblong points to a tumbling bullet, meaning it struck something (someone) else first.

The actual relative positions of the two men riding in the limo are also obfuscated in presentations by geniuses like Oliver Stone, to make it appear that the path of the shot twisted and turned. When a diagram uses their actual positions, it's a pretty straight line. Liberals are often not nearly as smart as they think they are.

LOL The movie JFK is a marvelous piece of entertainment. Well acted and brilliantly directed with a very suspenseful plot. As history however, it is pure 100% gold plated BS. They got one thing right. There was a President named Kennedy who was murdered in 1963. After that, it is total fiction.

If you mean conspiracy theories fall apart under close examination we are in agreement.

lots of people have said plenty of things.

but it gets ignored, b/c the operative assumption is, “Oswald did it alone, therefore, what these people are saying is false”.

check out Roger Stone’s excellent book on how LBJ killed Kennedy. It is very good, and very convincing.
