NBC is worried Jimmy Fallon's drinking may be getting out of control after The Tonight Show host injured himself for a third time in four months, sources claim.

Last week the talk show host was spotted in New York City with band aids after injuring his hand at a Harvard party. Jimmy had been 'holding a bottle of Jagermeister' and greeting fans when he tripped over a woman who had bent down in front of him, People reported. He fell and landed on the broken glass.

It's the third time the star has been hurt and sources say NBC are worried about the party-loving comedian's drinking.

“Carson was the best, Leno was OK, but Jimmy isn’t in the same league.”

I find him to be a boring, hyperactive metrosexual.

Imagine how stressful and vapid his life must be when day after day he is on a perpetual quest to be “cool”, hip and funny. Fallon, Colbert, Stewart, Letterman, Leno and the rest all seem to be very unhappy troubled people. Probably why they are Democrats.

Feel bad for Fallon, and especially his wife & kids who don’t have a sober husband/father in the home. Feel nothing but joy for the mess this has caused the National Brokeback Communists network.

Well, I disagree! I have been quite impressed by the energy and preparation that he has brought to the show. In some way, I feel he has returned to Carson’s original ( although he was not the original ) concept of the show. Anyway, he reminds me of the Carson days, if not Carson himself.

I never I would have thought it but Jimmy Fallon is the best late night guy out there..

the late night guys from back in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s indulged a lot more than Jimmy Fallon.. but it’s the internet age

And Dean Martin was drinking apple juice, and not scotch usually.

Reminiscing ...

Jack Paar “I kid you not.”
Steve Allen “Schmock schmock!”
Johnny Carson “You drive to the Slauson Cutoff, get out of your car, and cut off your Slauson.”
Jay Leno “Politics is show business for ugly people.”

I disagree on Fallon. He’s incredibly talented and has brought a whole new vibe to the talk show format. I hope he can get his act together.

Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon sober, high or drunk are heads and shoulders above the latest night show hosts. I have consulted with the Karnak The Great and he assures me they are minor league compared to the Johnny the Great. The ghost of Ed McMahon agrees.

Jay Leno was good and those fools at NBC fired him. Even Jay Leno agreed that Johnny Carson was the best and his desire was to be his equal. He almost made it. If NBC had not fired him, he might have become the equal of the Great Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon.

It should be noted that Carson and McMahon had dinner and drinks after each show. They went over each and ever detail of the show. They analyzed what was good and bad and how to improve on the next show. They were perfectionist and funny as hell.

There will never be an equal.

I think it was on one of Jackie Gleason’s shows, which were all initially live broadcasts, where he was doing one of his characters, possibly Reggie Van Gleason III, when someone in props put actual booze into the drink Jackie was supposed to pretend to drink. He kind of jolted, then gave a wry smile and went on with the show. It was hilarious.

"And Dean Martin was drinking apple juice, and not scotch usually"

According to Dean's daughter, he DID drink heavily. But he knew his limits. And he knew that his on-air drunken hijinks wouldn't work if he was truly wasted 24/7.

Ergo, he drank fake booze sometimes, but he drank the real stuff, too.

He just swapped out apple juice about half of the time.

He played a great "boozy" entertainer, but he was probably only buzzed.

Can't say that about most of his guests, though.

Yeesh. If they WEREN'T in the bag, THEN I'd be surprised.

"Kimmel is funny but all of his guests are pretty much top dollar liberal celebrities. And many of the scripts have a liberal theme to them. The guy is entertaining"

Yes, but I've always wondered who the powers that be told him to be a liberal suck-up.

On the Man Show, you couldn't find a more anti-PC guy than him and Adam Carolla.

Carolla has stuck to his guns, and is blatantly anti-liberal.

Carolla's podcast is a no holds barred anti-PC feast.

If he and Kimmel are still friends, I'm wondering if he's ever asked his former partner what the hell happened to him.

Hard to say. I think to be a stand up comic, you surely go thru the drinking, but you don’t see these drunk on stage. The problem with drinking is always the guy who drinks to excess vs the guy with the disease. If he has the disease, then it’s a matter of time. He needs to address it either way if he can. Doubt very much that he will stop drinking altogether.

Funny funny guy. I like him.

That was Foster Brooks’ act. Dean Martin was not a real drinker - usually it was apple juice in the glass - those guys were professionals, with a lot of class

Johnny Carson “You drive to the Slauson Cutoff, get out of your car, and cut off your Slauson.”

I loved that Carson bit, especially when he had that big-boobed gal on with Carson as the sleazy late-night pitchman.

Kimmel isn’t too bad, either.

I miss "The Man Show" that Jimmy did with Adam Carolla.
