Earlier today, we shared a viral video of student photojournalist Tim Tai being confronted by activists while photographing the ongoing University of Missouri protests. One of the main people under fire for their actions in the video is Melissa Click, an assistant professor of mass media.

Cameraman Mark Schierbecker has just posted a longer version of his video (embedded above) that shows Click’s role in the human media blockade more clearly.

At 7:10 in the video, after Tai has been shooed away by the protesters, Schierbecker finds himself in the center of the camp, which has been set up on public property. Turning to Click, he identifies as media and asks to speak to her. Here’s a summary of the exchange between the two:

She’s under fire for THREATENING a journalist, not for confronting.

The author needs a dictionary, and someone to read it to him (or her - I didn’t even look).

Since no one else posted just what “under fire” meant, I’ll take the liberty. Certainly hope their Lt. Gov., follows through on this:

“”Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder issued a statement today about the treatment of photographers and reporters. On Sunday I stood by the rights of protesters to have their voices heard while also urging the need for governance by University of Missouri leadership. Today, I’m standing for another First Amendment right, the freedom of the press. Actions on Monday by University faculty and staff to infringe on students’ First Amendment rights directly contradict what is taught at our universities. This incident must be examined, and if found necessary, disciplined.

Faculty and staff cannot be allowed to pick and choose which rights, viewpoints and freedoms they respect. I renew my call to restore law and order on campus, so the rights of all are protected. The University of Missouri is funded by taxpayers. It is imperative that it be a place where freedom is paramount and all voices are heard.””

“Faculty and staff cannot be allowed to pick and choose which rights, viewpoints and freedoms they respect.” Interesting statement. Wonder if 2nd amendment rights will also be respected.

Years ago, Dr. Gary North predicted that the radical left would capture America with the insane and human nature denying goal of “transforming” it into an egalitarian unicorn and rainbow Utopia by “capturing the ROBES”. By that, he meant those institutions we granted various levels of authority over us and our affairs: The clergy, the judges... and the ACADEMICS.

The roots of the problems in academia flow back to something referred to as the Frankfurt School and their 1935 move to COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY and the spread of Marxist thought (now there’s an oxymoron for ya’!) into every area of learning here.

A prime example of the rot now endemic in the academy is the COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF “JOURNALISM”. It is THE premier center for spreading Marxism here in America and it has been incredibly successful in its destruction of traditional and American values. Not only do its direct graduates permeate the media here, but many of them also double as teachers in lesser known institutions of media instruction. Herein lies the genesis of Limbaugh’s descriptive expression “Driveby Media”. Now you know why virtually every so-called “journalist” HATES folks like us.

The wikipedia entry says that the “...FRANKFURT SCHOOL was founded in 1923 by Carl Grünberg, a Marxist legal and political professor at the University of Vienna,[10] as an adjunct of the University of Frankfurt; it was the first Marxist-oriented research center affiliated with a major German university.[3] However, the school can trace its earliest roots back to Felix Weil, who used money from his father’s grain business to finance the Institut. “

Isn’t it fascinating that here is an early instance of a Marxist ANTI-CAPITALIST organization financing itself with the hated PROFITS of a capitalist business? The hypocrisy is mind-boggling.

More recent examples of that dichotomy would be the offspring of John D. Rockefeller who have largely spent their lives promoting socialism (using other people’s money, of course). And recently Bill Gates treated us to the wisdom that only SOCIALISM can solve the woes of this world. What these folks refuse to acknowledge that even THEY do not possess sufficient personal wealth to make a dent in those woes if the recipients of that largess are incapable of sustaining themselves once the largess stops flowing or is exhausted.

If one examines the life of Karl Marx, we find a bum who abandoned his wife and family to advance the socialist struggle and never worked or dirtied his hands at day in his life. That sort of thing was for the bourgeoisie, not such an exalted personage as himself. His guilt over that abandonment probably explains Karl’s fondness for state welfare paid for by the labor of others so that his abandoned family wouldn’t perish (not that a mensch like Karl gave a rat’s ass).

That is what I was thinking. If they won’t play ball, then expel them! They broke their contract and should not be in school. It might take a week or so but I bet the school could get new players. kids who would want to play.

The victors write the history, so much beyond our time on earth, we really don’t know the truth behind much we have been told. I would go far past the Franfurt School and it’s migration to America, way past Gramsci and Lenin and Marx at least back to the Jacobins in France, who whipped up the revolutionary environment in a perfect Bolshevik take down. There were no food riots, until the Jacobins had engineered them. But no cameras, and victors write the history. Tens to hundreds of thousands were murdered for the cause of equality. That was some 225 years ago.

And past the Jacobins I have no doubt you can just keep on going, down the ages, to find the men behind the stage, giving the cues.
