NBC exec's 'illegals' remark angers Hispanic lawmakers

Hispanic lawmakers hoped a meeting with top executives from MSNBC and NBC News Wednesday would smooth over hard feelings from Donald Trump’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live.†Instead, it had the opposite effect. NBC News President Deborah Turness committed a major blunder — as far as the Hispanic lawmakers were concerned — when she described undocumented immigrants as “illegals," a term that many in the Latino community find highly offensive. Story Continued Below Turness was describing NBC's integration with their Spanish-language network Telemundo, which included coverage of Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S. and his interaction with a young girl who was afraid her parents would be deported because they’re “illegals.†“I’m going to stop you right there. Objections to “illegal” are a function of liberalism, not of being Hispanic. I know Hispanics who are dead set against illegal immigration. Some of them went through a long, tough process to do it the legal way.
Sad to say, but a tremendous number of Hispanic politicians and people are more loyal to anything brown than they are to America.
I served with tons that are the exact opposite. But the ones that put the interests of Mexican citizens above the USA’s are simply traitors.
In the 1940`s, 50`s and 60`s we n everyone and even newspapers, MOVIES and radio stations called `em WETBACKS!

Appeasing liberals is a never ending journey into the abyss. Liberals are never satisfied.
I am tired of “angry people” who do not even belong in the U.S. I wish the American people had the strength to grasp these wetbacks by the scruff of the neck and kick them in the bottom all the way to the border then throw them across.
I get your point. IMO they want the “illegal” term to be viewed as taboo like the n word is.
