I’ve seen “Judge Dredd” which was enjoyable and “MIB 3”, which I really liked.
“Children of Men” I sat thru only because Michael Caine’s in it (big fan). The rest, I’ve never seen start to finish.
Yeah, Pleasantville ... interesting concept totally wasted in the movie ... and I think it was some kind of propaganda but too bad to be effective.
Morgan Freeman will apparently do any movie offered to him... he’s starred in some dogs.
I’ve seen a lot of bad movies lately because of unfortunate choices on Netflix.
The last one was Before I Go to Sleep.
I’ve pretty much stopped going to the movies entirely over the 3-4 years; the quality is mostly bad.
I’ve “downgraded” my cable package twice over the last year and don’t notice much except a lower bill. The majority of movies I watch now are available OTA. I’m watching “Once Upon A Time In The West” in HD as I type this on the “Movies” channel
Pretty much the only reason I haven’t scrapped cable entirely is because I do watch several shows on FX/X and Velocity and I have a nice TV to watch them on.
I know I can plug my computer/tablet into my TV and watch; I’ll probably move to that setup sooner than later.
They’re making a “Gremlins 3”. Supposedly not a reboot/remake, but a sequel. 25+ years later.
I wasn’t aware of a clamoring for a new “Gremlins” flick.
Gag.

Doesn’t like “remake/reboot/belated sequel/prequel” fever is going anywhere anytime soon. I heard a remake of “The Ten Commandments” is in the works.
It’s a safe road to $$$ for Hollywood; plus the marketing has already been done.
OTOH, It kills creativity in the process though. Oh well.
Wanna bet the Ten Commandments are rewritten to fit the PC lifestyle of today?
I sure as hell hope they don’t pick Kurt Sutter to write it. (for those who don’t know he raped Christianity in his recent “Bastard Executioner”)
I am hard pressed to think of a film less suited for a remake.

That show sucked. I barely made it thru 2 episodes then I pulled the plug.
We just saw The Good Dragon.
