Missouri On Alert: 4 Bulk Cell Phone Purchases-Now Dozens of Propane Tanks Stolen in KC

The FBI was alerted after a large quantity of cell phones was purchased at several mid-Missouri Walmarts in the last week.

Early Saturday morning two "foreign speaking" men set off alarms after they entered the local Walmart store in Lebanon, Missouri and purchased 60 cellphones. The purchase was made around 4 AM in the morning. Police were called but released the men saying they didn't have a legal reason to detain them.

The Macon County Sheriff's office is investigating a second suspicious purchase of dozens of cellphones at the Columbia Walmart on Conley Road.

A third suspicious purchase was made at a Walmart in Macon, Missouri.

On Thursday a fourth Walmart in Jefferson City in mid-Missouri reported another bulk cell phone purchase.

Now this: Dozens of propane tanks were recently stolen near Kansas City. propane tanks FOX 4 KC reported:

Several Missouri law enforcement agencies have notified the FBI about a large amount of cell phone purchases from area Walmarts.

Now, another incident has some people wondering if we are in danger of a terrorist attack in our area. A large number of propane tanks have been reported stolen from several locations is Independence and Lee's Summit.

At the end of November, a BP gas station in Lee's Summit reported 18-20 propane tanks stolen from the outside cages. That same night the CVS on Southwest 3rd Street reported the exact same crime.

Two weeks later, the CVS on East 23rd Street in Independence was hit, and 28 tanks were stolen from that location.

Sources within law enforcement say they received an urgent safety email about the propane thefts.

While there are several ways those tanks and cell phones phones can be used, in this climate, terror attacks are always a consideration.

“Early Saturday morning two “foreign speaking” men”

The way things are going in this country they may have been speaking English. :-)

Maybe they are planning a hugh tailgate party at the next Chiefs home game and the phones will be used to coordinate who is responsible for preparing each disk to be served...

No profiling allowed!

Rose bowl tailgate barbeques????

Missouri isn't in a bowl this year. More likely Chiefs game barbecues. They're playing at home three of the final four games.

Perhaps because the person knows that there is no intent to just track it, that it WILL be used to further the goals of the MB in the WH.

Remote bomb triggers. If I were anywhere near Kansas City, I would studiously avoid malls, theaters, public parks, or anywhere large groups of victims ... er, I mean people ... collect.

And I wouldn’t so much as go out to pick up the mail without being armed.

Most of this info has been known for a while.

Bush’s “lie” about WMD in Iraq will probably soon be proven to be a truth. They are coming out of Syria which is where they were reportedly taken, later verified by satellite tracking of the convoys from Iraq into Syria.

Wherever they strike, it will hopefully hit democrats and illegals hardest.

I have to say that central Missouri is not a place I would have pointed to for a terrorist attack.

I think they would want to send a message that NO PLACE and NO ONE is safe. Plus, the major urban areas are on alert and have the resources to monitor for terrorists.

I’d bet St Louis.

Gateway to the West and the symbolic middle of the country?

After reading this I ordered more ammo for my CCW. This is getting a little too creepy.

That is the purpose of “terror” attacks. To give the population the sense they are not safe from being attacked anywhere.

I’ve been telling people the exact same thing about WMD in Iraq and how it was moved into Syria just before hostilities.

One of the problems with weaponized smallpox is the difficulty in maintaining the usefulness of the weapon itself. Smallpox cannot live outside the human body for longer that a couple minutes before degrading to null — it becomes harmless.

After being stored in a hot desert area, I wonder how useful the remaining stock actually could be.

If we start getting propane explosions touched off with a cell phone we will be told it’s all a “spontaneous response to the right wing extremist hate speech” against muslims.

Do you know what happened to those two men? I do not.

What was in those canisters? I do not know.

I have not heard or seen any information concerning them since the initial news of their capture.
