“Congress gave up on the mandate. All thatâs left is the subsidy.”
OK, then why can I not find ANY non ethanol gas in Texas, other than at marinas?
oops ... subsidies are SOCIALIST aren’t they? Sort of a welfare check from the state.
Well, then, if Trump is not defending “subsidies” or the Renewable Fuel Standards, on what basis is he criticizing Cruz? Cruz would say, I’m also for ethanol, as long as it has to compete on a level playing field in the energy market.
If someone doesnt agree with Trump on immigration, I conside them to be a leftist. Agree immigration is the key issue.
Thanks for the link. Very informative.
Leave it to me to get it backwards. lol
One of the joys of being lefthanded.
I got it backwards.oops
It's been about as much on FR for the last month.
Governor Walker had the best solution to the ethanol question. Not the one he was endlessly attacked for here on FR, but his real one, the one that came from his lips.
I think it was brilliant.
Essentially he called for a gradual elimination of government subsidies to grow the corn. AND, most importantly, a gradual elimination of federal fuel blending standards.
This gradual change would prevent wholesale farm bankruptcies, which would put our entire food supply at risk.
The end result would be ethanol would stand on its own, with the market dictating how much ethanol would be produced, and at what price. NO government money involved.
The end result would be a much smaller ethanol corn crop and a much smaller amount of ethanol produced.
No one knows for sure, but because of the high value of the distillers grain, I think we would still have a fairly large ethanol industry.
This line alone from Donald Trump proves and exposes his pandering to the Ethanol industry in Iowa just to win there.
Now who is the True leader ?
The lets all go along to get along Trump ?
Or Ted Cruz who is opposing the Ethanol lobby in Iowa and Washington, and resists the Washington Cartel ?
The fair weather Trump supporters are starting to wake up now about Trump.
you are correct
Since Trump’s father made his millions from government subsidized housing, I wonder if Trump has a personal vested interest in profiting from ethanol subsidies. Sure seems like there’s more to his support than mere pandering.
