Anesthesia not necessary for wisdom tooth pulling! A couple shots of Novocaine will do just fine. Sheesh!

They used anesthesia on me because some of mine were growing the wrong way like boar’s tushes... had to hack through bone. Everyone is different.

At 13 our son was hilarious after surgery. The nurse said he had been acting like a drunken sailor for a long time. We totally lost it when he launched into “Jesse’s Girl”- we were practically rolling on the floor laughing.
When I had surgery last year that was fresh in my mind. I was rather afraid of what I might say before waking up!
Now if it was a pre-emptive procedure, aimed at heading off trouble down the line, I completely agree with you.

At 14, my son had to have emergency surgery on his knee due to a staph infection. While waiting to bring him into the OR, the doctor hit him with a shot of demerol to take the edge off. My son was lying in bed singing the Barney song. My wife and I were cracking up. Got it on video just so we could show him anytime he said something was stupid.
