They are looking out of sorts today
I don’t believe in gambling, so I won’t place any bets. I am hoping that the Redskins win it all, so Barry would have to invite them to the White Mosque. We all know how much Barry loves the name Redskins.
Actual redskins were of course red on the outside. Obama is red on the inside.
I just want to see them go to the White House, since Barry, and most liberals hate the name so much. Go Redskins!
Anyone watching the Vikings-Seahawks game on now on NBC? It was 6 frigging degrees below zero at game time!! They’ve showed at least 3 guys in the stands with ice caked up on their beards.
I know. It would be interesting to see how he handles it. You know he’ll almost certainly have some dopey thing to say about it.
Temp at game time was 6 below zero. By game’s end it warmed up to a toasty 0 degs. They just said it was the 3rd coldest temperature ever for an NFL game.
And for anyone who missed it, Seattle just won on a missed field goal from the 13-yardline with a few seconds left on the clock. I think they said the kicker was a young rookie. Can you imagine how this poor kid feels at this time.
Green Bay vs Wash up next. Redskins 1-pt favorites.
Seahawks just got lucky again. An NFL placekicker that makes over a million dollars a year just missed a 27 yard chip shot for a Vikings win. Seahawks win after being terrible until the 4th quarter. But defense is the name of the game and you can’t beat them my kicking field goals. Vikings had 3 chances to score a touch down and couldn’t. On to Carolina!
Still, he's gotta feel like killing himself at this point.
I feel like hell for him. But it happens. I don’t like the cocky Seahawks and was looking forward to see them try to explain why they lost. Hopefully the Panthers can take them out, but they are a very opportunistic team. And one things for certain you have to be able to run the ball on them and you have to be able to score TDs. Seahawks have a habit of playing terrible until the 4th quarter and come back and win it. Their defense, which is great, always keeps seems to keep them in the game.
I was rooting for Seattle only because I need them to lose to Denver in the super bowl in order that I win the “exacta” bet I made at the top. :)
Here again, for convenience, are the odds for teams winning the super bowl, as of last week...
(note the odds of the two teams playing right now, the Redskins and Packers: 40-1 and 30-1)
New England Patriots: 9-2
Carolina Panthers: 9-2
Arizona Cardinals: 9-2
Denver Broncos: 5-1
Seattle Seahawks: 5-1
Pittsburgh Steelers: 8-1
Cincinnati Bengals: 20-1
Kansas City Chiefs: 25-1
Green Bay Packers: 30-1
Minnesota Vikings: 30-1
Washington Redskins: 40-1
Houston Texans: 60-1
During halftime of the Seattle-Minnesota game they showed a close up of the ball just prior to the missed 13-yardline field goal (27-yard kick attempt), and the ball was placed such that the laces were facing TOWARD the kicker. This may have been what caused the ball to veer off to the left. The holder should have spun the ball around so that they were facing away.
BUT...he had kicked an earlier FG with the laces in the same place. It looked to me like his plant foot might have hit weird and/or gave a little as he kicked...not sure what happened but he hooked it bad.
You actually caught that as it was happening?? Or did someone point it out afterwards? In any case, I meant they showed the close up of the ball during halftime of the game going on now, Wash vs Packers.
Uhhh.....no...not as it was happening...saw it on the repalys ...he kicked the 43 yarder right down the middle with the laces facing him.
On the miss his plant foot looked off just a bit to me. Basically, I think he just choked under the pressure. They should release him tomorrow. He would deserve it for what he’s paid.
