FYI!!!
lol...you lucky devil.
Back then, heck I was in my mid-30’s, so it was probably pretty close to $1200 worth!
lol. Glad you sobered up. More money for Powerball. ;)
My Saturday ticket paid $300 and Wednesday’s ticket paid $8 — $308 return for $6 investment. But my lucky week is probably over.
One guys in Chino Hills had bought 100k tickets. Winner is from Chino Hills.
Good for you.
I just heard California, Florida and Tennessee. Three winners.
What will comrade obama do with his IRS share?
Yippee!
I don't see it becoming a habit.
Great to see my very best friend get rich!
There was a group of guys in Florida with a $500 per share buy in. They bought something like $250,000 worth. Will be interesting to see if they won the one in Florida.
No states where you can claim it anonymously.
Chino Hills is like 20 mins from here. Wow.
I purchased five tickets and of the twenty eight (58 and 59 each have a repeat) different numbers listed, not a one of them was a winning number.
Seems like that if the quick pick machine can’t give me a winning digit, let alone a winning number, the ticket is defective, and I should get my money back.
I agree. Not even a digit. Unfair right there.
I at first read the last numbers from Saturday, looked at my ticket and thought, well, I have 2 of the powerball number so I made $8! But no. Alas. The Power number was 10, not 13, and I got squat. I’m happy for the person/people practically in view from my house who won tonight, what a crazy life changing night for them right now. Hope they have passports. They will need to leave town pretty soon.
81 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize: 4 from Arizona (1 with Power Play), 12 from California, 3 from Connecticut, 12 from Florida (1 with Power Play), 2 from Georgia, 2 from Illinois, 1 from Indiana, 1 from Iowa (with Power Play), 2 from Kansas, 3 from Kentucky, 1 from Louisiana, 3 from Maryland, 2 from Massachusetts, 5 from Michigan, 2 from New Jersey (1 with Power Play), 5 from New York, 2 from North Carolina (both with Power Play), 3 from Ohio, 1 from Oklahoma, 3 from Pennsylvania, 2 from Rhode Island, 1 from Tennessee (with Power Play), 4 from Texas (1 with Power Play), 2 from Virginia, 2 from Washington, and 1 from West Virginia.
I won five bucks. (After I spent eight bucks on four tickets.)
Woohoo! Let the PARTAY begin! ;)
The buying frenzy was amazing. NEVADA is one if the few states that doesnt do powerball (crony capitalism gift from the gaming industry and state legislature ). So I drove to vegas from arizona monday afternoon for a tradeshow and came back tuesday evening. Going up there are two gas stations in the middle of nowhere desert about 20 miles from the state line an hour and change from vegas proper. Going up I saw hundreds of cars parked in the desert overflowing the parkjng lots at these places. At first i thought it was a swapmeet or some sort of rally...then it dawned on me no powerball in NV. There were hundreds of people ljned out the doors. Coming back tuesday evening after dark the crowds were triple -300 yard lines , cars everywhere in the desert. Moral of the story- A sucker is born every minute...and a whole lot of them will drive a long way for their fleecing. I know a lot of freepers played and i dont begrudge them their fun or fantasy but at the end of the day a person or number of persons will take or split a billion bucks but that billion bucks didn’t come from a well in the ground or the generosity of the governemt. It came from millions of suckers who donated the prize minus the govt cut :)
Thanks!
I was wondering about second-place prizes as well!
