Ugh! I struggled through this horrible screed years ago. It was the literary equivalent to listening to Yoko Ono.

I never read the whole thing but have read from it in English and German and I love your description. Another good one would be that if Mooch’s anti white graduate thesis were just a few chapters longer.

It may be about to get ugly for the camel jockeys.

They are probably the ones buying it.

To imply that all the Germans were Nazis and wanted to kill all the Jews is plain ignorance on your part and had nothing to do with my statement, but you go ahead and be happy.

You are, of course, correct. It would be like saying all New Yorkers are pro-abortion, anti-gun, atheistic homosexuals and gay sympathizers.

We know in both cases, it was only the people running the show, not all of the rank and file.

It was not “dissatisfaction with the government” which cued Herr H, but the humiliation of WW I and the horrible economic conditions of those days - neither of which apply today.

I see, the people's dissatisfaction with their government's inability to pull them out of the economic morass and their anger at the chopping up of countries and huge monetary penalties as the result of WWI had nothing to do with the rise of Hitler and Mussolini? That's interesting because my grandparents that lived thru WWI and WWII and parents that lived through WWII in Hungary have a slightly different historic view than you do. You see they never spoke of the people's humiliation, they spoke of the anger of what Wilson did to Europe.

Read much?

That’s what I said ... those conditions do not apply today. And FWIW so did I live through WWII ...

Politicians aren’t known for writing their own books.

“Mein Kampf” had a big input from Rudolf Hess, like “Profiles in Courage” from Ted Sorensen, and Obama from Bill Ayers.

Almost certainly though, “Mein Kampf” was more Hitler’s book than Kennedy’s or Obama’s were theirs.

Yeah, did you live through it with the people you are commenting about? And my disagreement with what I read was with your use of humiliation, read much? not your basic statement of economics and primarily at the start of these exchanges from your implication(to me) that the German people, as a whole would again attempt the eradication of Jews. I'm a tad touchy about that since my mother and her sister, children during the war, were threatened with death for taking milk to a Jewish families children. SO let's just let this drop, maybe we are both not reading each other clearly.

You have to clarify, I say many things, occasionally they even make sense.
