Many ill-conceived statements from both sides have been allowed to slide by the mods... some of the crap that has been slung has made me wince.

I have thought the same thing. I really would be happy if either Trump or Cruz got the nomination. I have concerns about both but either seems like a better bet than establishment candidates. I really hated the way GW was shoved down our throats the first time around. He raised a crap load of money before the primary season even began and then we were basically told that was that, months before I even got to cast my vote in our primary.

I was reluctant to bring up my concerns about the two front runners before their sticky issues really started making the news. I think that a little ribbing is one thing, but we have had a lot of judgmental statements and insults being made directed towards other people here lately. It always happens but it has been much worse than normal.

I got myself in trouble after a drawn out conflict with another poster here. An arm chair general kept making far fetched statements about the military. He kept trying to add legitimacy to his posts by claiming to have had top secret clearance, a high rank and to have been a West Point graduate. Unfortunately for him... in separate threads he over a period of time he had provided both his birth date and the year he claimed to have graduated from West Point.

Confronted with this he claimed to have been one of the three youngest graduates from West Point ever, he of course would not provide me with his actual name. I gladly would have backed off if he turned out to be legit. I called one of my friends who is a member of the alumni association and had access to the West Point database. We were able to verify that there was no one with his claimed birthday who graduated in the year that he claimed that he did. After that he tried to get me zotted for shadowing him on the forums, but apparently he lied to them as well and was the one who ended up being banned.

Thanks, I’d like to see him get a bigger following.

“well, he’s a guy”.

A lot of people don't know you can vote every day.

I wasn't aware of that. I guess because I read the entire post on the day Doughty first posted it, I was aware of the daily vote concept from the very start.

I'll try to make a point of mentioning this on the daily discussion threads.

The funny thing about the Vera Coking story, is that Trump initially offered her over a million dollars for her house, which was far beyond what it was worth on the market.

She and her family succumbed to greed and tried to squeeze Trump for $5 Million instead, which he took a pass on.

When Vera and her family finally did sell the house, they only got about $250,000 for it.

It never was about any sort of noble sentiment with that woman. She and her kin thought they’d hit the mother lode with Trump, and were determined to make themselves fabulously wealthy at his expense.
