Of course. And most probably are out by the time they’re 30. That’s essentially a 9 year career - 10 if they come out after their Junior season of College. The average life span of an NFL career is something like 5 years. The guys take a beating.

NFL players saw what happened to Junior Sway after he played football too long.
If it was 1995 or even 2005, then you’re right. But today? Fear of CTE.
That is a shame, he was never on a decent team! I think he was one of the best!

I imagine has saved his money. Good for him. More and more I think an NFL career of more than five years just isn’t worth it, and I suspect more and more players will reach that same conclusion.
