I loved that! Used to listen all the time when I was a youth.

or more like glam rock?
Fargo
I like this a lot. I heard it on the radio many years ago. I finally bought it a few months back.
Bought my 33-1/3 LP in 1978. Just unboxed it again after 25 years.
Its getting more scarce, my last set of cd’s i bought around 12 years ago.
I went to work one morning about 6am didn’t get off and get to sleep until the next day about 10pm.
Had that playing on the trusty 8 track all night.
Wild dreams.
Couldn’t go to sleep again for a week that I didn’t have to fight Martians.
First heard it’s release at Halloween in 1978.
Was blown away by it.
Moody Blue’s Justin Hayward Forever Autumn was a good album feature song, too.
Thx for making mention of this.
I won the 33 rpm album on a radio show when it came out. I still have it. Is it a collectible worth big bucks?

As far as I know it's only available on region 2 DVD, I had to buy mine on British Amazon and convert the PAL video to NTSC to burn it to a U.S. DVD but you can always watch it on your computer monitor if you don't want to go through all the bother.
Amazing performance, musicians are very tight, reminds me in a lot of ways of the live Tubular Bells spectacles that Mike Oldfield has done in the past (available on YouTube & well worth the watch - I imported those on LaserDisk from Japan).
I've got a friend that has plans to fly across the pond to see one of the live WOTW shows someday, that's how much he likes it. I highly recommend it, both the album and the video.
It still has legs.
They perform it live in Europe — you used to be able to see it on YT before it was pulled.
The older, better one still had Justin Haywood and sound talents dead on to the album, with a hologram of Richard Burton as the narrator. It was GREAT.
The revised version had new “talents” about 1/5 as good as the older on and Liam Neeson (also a hologram) as narrator. It sucked.
I used to throw the tape in the deck when I has a long trip. I knew when it was over I was 2 hours on the road!
One of my most favorite albums now CD. The music vividly brings the story to like. Fight on Thunder Child!
Justin Hayward acoustic version from a couple of years ago.

I remember portions of this being played every morning on the radio back in 79. I would sit in my new car in the parking lot listening until the end of the segment before going into the office.

Very good representation of the entire album, and one of the best tracks.

You win this one, you stinking Martians - but Carrie is SAFE!
