Sanders is way too far left for the Democrats. I don't think there is a Republican out there who could lose to him. Although, I never underestimate the power of stupid (and dead) people voting in large numbers.
Hitlary has her e-mail mess that is fixin to get a lot worse. If she isn't indicted (and I don't believe she will be), her dishonesty will be a complete turn-off to the voter (where she will be guilty in their minds).
So, that means someone else is going to jump in. From what I've heard, Gaffe-a-minute Joe will be pushed into it, or maybe horseface will be enlisted.
The Dems will wait for the last minute so Joe can't be attacked for months, but maybe weeks (or days).

The only way there it could be anyone other than Hillary or Sanders would be if the race is close enough so that the superdelegates could push the convention to a 2nd ballot.
Well, it looks like the filing deadline in California is March 16 (Primary June 7). So maybe it’s not mathematically impossible yet but it’s getting very close.
I don’t agree with your statement that sanders is too far left for the democrats. Nowadays he fits right in. Hillary has shifted even further left to keep up with sanders.
I agree—The Brokered Convention will see Biden/Warren Ticket as Hil bows out due to Health and Sanders goes all 3rd Party. That or they take out Hillary with an FBI arrest or a bullet (she may have an accident). The power is too great to risk.
But see, you've hit upon the problem. The "intelligence community" (lol) was counting on Cankles. There's no counting on Bernie; and it is too late for Biden to do anything but create problems for Bernie (!); ultimately, they were prepared for Madame Cankles vs. Gov. Low Energy -- but therefore haven't properly vetted Trump.
As long as unions are seated at the table of the Politburo, the Dem “ground game” can be fully activated and working at kneecapping speed within 48 hours.

The Rats have a real existential problem. Sanders is to the left of Daniel Ortega in a center-right country and is therefore unelectable. Hillary carries decades of Clinton baggage and is about to be indicted - and if she isn't then the Rats will lose all credibility with their own Party based. Look what Pocahontas tweeted this week about rule of law. Half the Rat Party hates her.
And what's worse - they have no bench. They can't run Bloomberg on an anti-Wall Street platform for obvious reasons. The leftist Sanders branch wouldn't have it. Pocahontas is a lightweight. Who else do they have? They have no bench. It's either Hillary or Biden. It can't be Hillary, so it has to be Biden. But since Biden is so late to the race the only way he could win is to run as an incumbent.
This is the only way I can see that it can possibly work.
I might have agreed with you, and not all that long ago, but I don't think Hillary is going to quit -- with or without an indictment, and we know Zero and his hatchet gal at DOJ won't bring one -- and I don't think she's going to quit cheating. The last firewall is the superdelegates system at the convention, which will push the two of them together if there's a close race, and if there isn't a close race, and she's trailing, they'll STILL push them together. I like to like in a world where the likes of Prince Di would be killed in a tunnel for being only an embarrassment; that the founder of Wikileaks will also be put down; that Hillary will either have to go to a place like Belarus or Iran to safely live out her days from our security agencies.
