âLately it seems people have had a tendency to treat confrontations with police officers like a lottery ticket they can cash in,â Brodsky told Sneed. âIn this case, a lawsuit against my client was filed before a funeral was held.â

Killing scum is easy. Defending yourself from morons is the hard part. Been there, done that, will do it again.
That shooting was unjustified. Victim may have been scum, but threatened no one.
How do you know that!??%
It gets complicated when there are those trying to kill you. Kill all those with threats and deal with it later.
Don;t be stupid is the best rule to follow.
Dude. Did you read the article? The perp swung a baseball bat at the cop. Repeatedly. WTH is wrong with you? PYHOYA.
Shame this guy has Brodsky as his counsel. Same guy as Drew Petersons lawyer.
I thought this was the cop that jumped out of his car and shot the perp just walking away. If this is different then I apologize.
PYHOYA?
This teen was swinging a baseball bat at the officer who shot the kid but the bullet passed through him and killed a woman in the same apartment building. The woman’s family has a strong case against the city.
A case, yes. But not necessarily a strong one:
Grandma in an unlighted, or dimly lighted, or even a well-lighted hallway, standing to the rear of the bat-wielding
subject, may not have been visible...and, likely, was notvisible, to the officer who perceived an immediate life-threat directly in front of himself. An examination of facts at Grand Jury or Coroner’s Inquest will determine the reasonableness of the officer’s actions. The physical evidence does not lie.
I think a lot of it is going to come down to how close the perp was to the cop. They should be able to determine that pretty quickly from the pattern of the gun powder residue.

Oh, sorry, that’s “Pahoa”.

It is my view that attorneys specialized in different areas, like physicians.
Break a leg you want an orthopedist, not an ophthalmologist.
And thin there is this:
The attorneys also argue that former defense attorney Joel Brodsky provided ineffective counsel and put his desire for publicity over his client’s interests â claims that Brodsky denies.
The question is did they spell his name correctly?
The cop’s brass was 20+ feet from the body. That’s waving a bat, not swinging it.
