Many noticed and felt the loss . FR lost a treasure when J Random Freeper died. Many tributes were posted.
Oh sure.
If I had a buck for all the people who claimed I was a paid troll for some cause or another over the years, I could retire. I’m not sure where people are buying their special detectors to find all these bots and trolls and infiltrators, but I think they are defective.

Yes, it was noticed that JRandomFreeper had passed.
Yeah, baby. And I guess I’m one of them except for the housewife part. And the bitchy part. Ha, ha.
I’m spoiled. I don’t think I could take cold weather any more but I love the Rottie story.
I'll be damned if I know how Kathy In Alaska got in ahead of me, but she's always been "slow and steady wins the race". She must have got up early that night. :)
you have mail
You're no paid troll. :)
Why don’t you have your original Freeper number?
I have mine.
Are you saying that you joined the day Jim opened the former White Water site as Free Republic and opened it for membership?
She's just mad. She has the courtliness of the old Free Republic. She won't make a vendetta out of it.
LOL!
He had us REGISTER on November 28, 1997 with a valid email address, because young Thomas and his alternate screen personas were becoming an annoyance and a vexation.
Free Republic went active earlier in the year. I found it through one of Rodger Schultz's article postings in early March, 1997. I roll 19 years in a month. :)
I’m not mad. Using a euphemism for the word you and Donald used.
I wanted to like Trump and his dissing of the media was one of his original attractions.
But you cannot trust this man and the satisfaction you might get for him ‘destroying’ the media is not worth a bad president.
Trump has no interest in destroying the media. He’s used it all his life. He’s using it today. He’s on Fox and Friends almost every morning.
I found it through Drudge and the white Water site.
Boy, was Tommy p*ssed! I still have a few of those threads: "A Walk In The Gardens Of Stone", "A Talk In The Gardens Of Stone".
That MFer was one nasty blowhard. Still can't believe he had the nerve to show up at some of our doings back then. (Can't remember if he showed at the MFJ. I was there at one or two of the gatherings, but I was wallflowering it. If he showed, it was later.)
You're correct in that, but he's destroying their credibility - although he may not know it.
I feared what happened to Palin would happen to Cruz, if the Media was allowed to live unmolested.
I used to track the Media here during the first years - kind of made it my little "job" on FR.
Same here.
I count her as a dear friend.
Well, I lived in Irving then and we had quite a few meetings. One of them was huge and Bill Clinton’s girlfriend (one of them talked and signed her book, of course) What the heck was her name. I still have her picture with me.
And that radio dude was there. From KLIF. Conservative guy... Oh, David something.
JRandomFreeper (Johnny) died at 4:33 pm, January 22, 2016.
I'm glad that didn't go unnoticed. I knew he was very ill, and late January brought the distraction of some family-related drama to my house as well - lots of unexpected travels and not much time for web-browsing. Fell asleep reading my first thread, more than a few nights. I just missed the discussion, I guess.
What a damned shame.
