If Trump was to choose from his fellow candidates, why not Kasich? He’s put together a budget, knows how to craft legislation, successfully governed and would lend a strong bump in delivering Ohio,

I agree. There is no need to carry the baggage of what he said about his opponents into the general election. Beside the fact that none of them are very good.

“Trump needs 65% of the white vote, and he will be unbeatable.”

Don’t the Dems start with 40% of the white vote no matter what?

You may be right. After all, Chuck Schumer is a bad choice being from the same state.

If the Republicans nominate a globalist, sure.

Sure, why not? If we’re going to go full-on progressive, that’s as good a way as any.

Might happen. I was hoping it would be Cruz but the nastiness between the two seems to be getting personal. I feel that Trump will end up picking a career politician as running mate. I just hope he doesn’t make the mistake that Ronald Reagan made and pick a running mate that later on undo the progress made. The Bush VP pick in 1980 was absolutely disastrous. Nearly four decades later, we are still trying to exorcise them from the political scene and we have 16 years of Clinton and Obama to thank them for.

Sorry, Rubio is not an NBC, so not only no, but hell no.

Trump is very likely to pick a guy like Kasich. He’s the governor of a must have swing state and he’s a faithful party foot soldier like Biden. He will do what he’s told and not try to stick a knife in Trump’s back every other day like Rubio or Cruz would.

I actually think that is a good ticket. Rubio has great foreign policy credentials and brings Florida with him. It would also bring along some of the GOPe wing, but that is also a downfall after Trump - but one step at a time.

I’d rather see a Donald Trump - Herman Cain ticket. We need an economic turnaround team.

He could pick someone who agrees with him more, like Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, or Bernie Sanders.

I agree Rubio is the most savvy choice for anyone who gets the nomination. Trump seems to steer clear of Rubios path. You get Florida too.

Rubio is not to be anywhere. He is just another RINO and that is being kind.
