Kanye West’s troubled release of his latest album, “The Life of Pablo,†has already cost the hip-hop star at least $10 million in sales, a review of estimated pirated downloads on Tuesday revealed.
TorrentFreak, which tracks music piracy and file-sharing, reported that West’s album was illegally downloaded more than 500,000 times in the first 24 hours of its Feb. 14 release.
That made it the most ripped-off album by far on The Pirate Bay and other file-sharing sites.

They are making the assumption that everyone who downloaded it would have paid for it if they couldn’t get it for free. Unlikely.
While I don’t condone theft, I have a hard time feeling bad for people like this. Perhaps they’ll have to go get real jobs.
I have a good business model for aspiring musicians and the like. Perhaps if they wrote and sang songs that appeal to a conservative base, they’d achieve better financial results. Most conservatives I know, myself included, will support those we deem entertaining, or working hard for themselves to better their families and such.
Or they can keep pandering to the immoral and bankrupt left, and keep reaping the benefits.
Why would anybody even bother going through the trouble of illegally downloading his so-called “music.”

Exactly. Most of those downloaders would have just waited a little longer to download the CD free.

Remember when the Dixie Chicks went to Europe and ripped on the not so popular President Bush? They forgot that their fan base was country music fans. Conservative, patriotic, middle class, God fearing, red blooded Americans aren't offended by much. But go to Europe and bash your own country and President and watch your career implode. Larry the Cable Guy put it best, "That's like standing in the middle of a trailer park and yelling, 'Walmart sucks!'."
