Tina reminds me, all too vividly, of my driver picks this year. Shasta mountain was beautiful covered in mega snow and the lake is within 10 feet of being full. Sacramento River looks as clean as the Klamath with heavy flow. Walked across the glass bridge in Redding at Turtle Bay park.
I read where a Busch hit a jackrabbit today in practice. Was he penalized?
Don’t know about Busch but I heard the rabbit was penalized
Not s time for unlucky rabbit foot jokes.
California is still in my blood. Cruised at 85-90MPH to keep up with traffic SB on I5 from Redding to CA 20. Spent the afternoon in Calistoga; loves the wine country where there is very, very heavy tourism traffic. Hit 98 degrees. We leave Walnut Creek at 7:00am for the track tomorrow.
Peace, love & happiness.
Thank you so much for not bringing up your perfect Q score of 19 points today and I hope you make it to the trace in time for the checkered flag
Really? I’m shocked I tell you. Shocked.
Heck, we better be there by 8:30 for their breakfast.
Different glasses + iPhone = mistakes.
Dark horse win today? We will see.
Entertaining race. Very hot day!! Thank goodness for the Hospitality Tent pass that served food and cold beverages plus provided much needed shade. Our group of 26 happy for Tony’s win; group had a lot of out-is-staters including Alabama, Michigan, Missouri, Florida, (nice couple that are going to do a 3 day win country tour. Wife give the husband the race & tour tickets for Christmas) and some New Englang states. Only took one race pic - I seldom look at the hundreds I already have. Turn 2 seats a winner after we bought cushions for the concrete seats.
Hmmmmm. I feel like the pot head that sees a double rainbow and keeps saying “what does it mean?”
Glad for the Biff & P1. It’ll provide a bit of a spark to them. Jr. needs to go on a tear.
Made it home from Sonoma and realized that I’m no longer a young man as if my DOB that says I’m 67 is lying. Trip wore me out. Needed 2 days to recover. Twas fun though but I need to allocate more time for rest & travel on the trip next time.
The only driver I remembered I had on my team was Hamlin and after watching the carnage of 3 wrecks I was sure my score was going to be below 150. Congrats on your high score such as it is.
The NBC crew has regressed over the last year. It’s that or Fox’s crew is a heck of a lot better than I thought. Probably a combo of both. And what’s with the commercials? Glad I had the race recorded ‘cause watching 5 laps and commercials for 5 laps isn’t going to cut it.
Safe and sane 4th to you.
Nice flower pot there X2HD
I coulda asked him to go around to the front where we have banners & pillows and flags galore but he was get’n a bit edgy, so....
Yuge News.
Tony Stewart, Stewart-Haas leaving Chevrolet, switching to Ford in 2017
Who has a ping list?
Not I said the dog.
Loudon weather looks hot and steamy on Sunday but no rain is forecast for that day.
Don’t run Jr this week. He’s out with a concussion.
I had to look but I dropped him this week for Kenny Schrader...
You know it doesn’t sound like good news for Junior. The report on NASCAR said he doesn’t have a return date and mentioned his problem with concussions. If he retires NASCAR will really start in a free fall instead of its lazy spiral down.
Jeff Gordon to replace Dale Jr. if Jr. can’t race at Indy:
Remember the day (7/16/16) that I had high Q score????
