Mark Martin Selling North Carolina Lakeside Home: Retired professional stock car racer Mark Martin has put his lakeside mansion in North Carolina on the market for $2.55 million. Martin bought the home a little over three years ago for $2 million. Martin, 57, is one of five drivers who will be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2017. He raced professionally from 1977 to 2013, completing 882 races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home is in Cornelius, NC, a wealthy suburb north of Charlotte. Dale Jarrett says he struggles with memory loss: Concussions and how they're diagnosed were pushed back into the spotlight this weekend with the news that #83-Matt DiBenedetto was put into NASCAR's concussion protocol and would miss the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. The news brought criticism from Brad Keselowski about the nature of concussion diagnosis. During NBC's rain delay coverage for the Sunday's race at Texas Motor Speedway, analyst and Hall of Famer Dale Jarrett spoke about his experiences due to concussions he suffered during his Hall of Fame career. "In three weeks I will be 60 years old and I do struggle with memory loss, with things in my brain I know probably came from some of those concussions, that's what I've been told," said Jarrett, who retired from racing in 2008. "Would it have happen anyway without the concussions that I went through? I'm not sure.(11-7-2016)
I suffer from some memory loss and never had any type of concussion but I am a little older than D. Jarrett

I’m surprised he didn’t retire after last year. The hand writing was on the wall then.
Perhaps if he’d had a better start to the season he’d stay but (thankfully) he has his priorities in the right place.
I’d rather he retire - healthy - sooner, then have another debilitating injury.

I am not surprised that Jr is hanging it up after the concussion he received earlier. Will Hendricks shut down that slot is the question...
