Well I’ll will give Trump praise for sticking by his guns when he thinks he is right, it would be MUCH easier for someone with his money just to give all the plantiffs big confidential payout (which is probably what they want) to drop the lawsuits and make them go away, but Trump’s going to fight them to the last appeal.

Sunday wasn't the first time Trump has suggested that a judge related to the Trump University lawsuit had political and/or racial motivations. At a rally Saturday in Betonville, Ark., he said of the judge: "I believe he happens to be Spanish, which is fine," Trump said. "He's Hispanic, which is fine."

When I saw that line in the Washington Post article, it made me think of him saying

He's Hispanic . . . not that there's anything wrong with that.

Early morning news outlets cruise FR looking for hot trending articles against Trump. I see the big picture.

Bunch of carrion eating peacocks.

Trump’s going to fight them to the last appeal.

Yep. He's still fighting.

Trump and his university–which operated from 2005 through 2010, when it was shut down as the San Diego suits and multiple state attorneys general investigations were beginning–lured approximately 7,000 consumers into paying $1,495 to $34,995 for courses where, as the promotional material put it, Donald Trump’s “handpicked instructors” would teach them Trump’s “insider success secrets” of how to invest in real estate.

In October 2014 a New York judge found Trump personally liable for the institution's violation of state education laws. On December 10, 2015, Donald Trump gave a closed-door pretrial deposition with the fraud trial expected in May 2016 during the 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries. Trump has also made reference to the Hispanic ethnicity of the presiding judge, hinting at a possible bias. Attorney General Schneiderman responded in a statement calling Trump's allegations “racial demagoguery.”

In a separate class action civil suit in mid-February 2014, a San Diego federal judge allowed claimants in California, Florida, and New York to proceed. A Trump counterclaim, alleging that the state Attorney General's investigation was accompanied by a campaign donation shakedown, was investigated by a New York ethics board and dismissed in August 2015. Trump also filed a $1 million defamation suit against former Trump University student Tarla Makaeff, who had spent about $37,000 on seminars, after she joined the class action lawsuit and publicized her classroom experiences on social media. Unable to prove malice, Trump University lost an anti-SLAPP lawsuit (under statutes designed to thwart legal intimidation of class action participants) and was ordered by a U.S. District Judge in April 2015 to pay Makaeff and her lawyers $798,774.24 in legal fees and costs. "That just shows you how low they will go to silence people", Makaeff said.

Despite Trump's claim to have won much of the lawsuit, as of February 2016, all three lawsuits are still pending.

Only Trump doesn’t want to tackle immigration. That is just what he is telling his suckers.

I like the way Trump threw down the race card!
Going forward, we can all compare and contrast the media’s reaction to a Progressive, or 0bama, playing the race card to this incident.

Trump can now contrast “offical media reaction” to his race card versus Progressive race cards.
“Oh, the media is sooooo dishonest, do you see how they do not react when Hillary plays a race card on me!!!”

So how is yet another whiny series of posts going to win any votes for Rubio again?

Who was talking about Mr. Amnesty, Pathway to Citizenship?

I'm Cruz/Trump.

I've never seen a bigger bunch of Sore Winners.

It's like FRumpters don't need or want the 20% of Cruz supporters after Trump secures the nomination.

I have been on freerepublic since 2000,and I have never seen so many people go over the edge against trump for Cruz. I expected better from learned conservatives. Somehow though judging by Marcos unbelievable, childish, nutty behavior lately, I should not be surprised.

I dont have any personal animosity to the Cruz people that are not part of the crew of self-righteous jerks and spammers. I dont even have a personal beef with Cruz himself.

There are lots of Cruz folks here that are not on that bandwagon, and I do hate when my wording gets seen as being directed at all of them. I’ll admit most of the time it’s after I hit post.

I just want this crap to be done so the cranks will go off in a huff in peace.

Agreed.

Cruz & Trump ARE the two Anti-Establishment candidates.

There is plenty of vitriol from both sides, I too, have dished some back at the Trump election-year trolls.

I’ve read the pleadings. Trump is going to lose, Yuuuuge.

Trump sue the lead plaintiff in the California case for defamation in an anti-SLAPP lawsuit, resulting in Trump having to pay her attorney almost $800,000.

Since there is over 5,000 plaintiffs in just one of the lawsuits, and because it is a civil RICO action, Trump will have to pay treble damages and the plaintiffs legal fees.

The Democrats are going to accuse him of being a racketeer, and it will be true. Just what the Republicans need, a racketeer as its nominee.

Just think about that, Trumpkins.

Also,on another note you may not be aware of it too close I would guess (Forrest/trees),but people from Texas can be spotted a mile away, and it is a shame, on any thread, the ego, braggadocio, etc even without a Texas screen name, they are obvious. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know who they are for and for no other reason than their home state, even when they move, they project that attitude that is so Lyndon Johnson ,it is a huge turnoff. Remember that we have 50 states, not one,but you still carry a torch even though you left the state. Keeping allegiances is commendable, but not when it colors your thinking, actions and turns others away.

I am not calling anyone ignoramuses. All some us are saying is that we cannot like lemmings be blinded by the streak facts, and taken over a cliff.
Anyone who knows anything about Trump knows how he lays the blame on others for his own failures whether its the Taj Mahal, the Trump Shuttle; or the scam Trump University.

With a solid 65% saying they can’t bring themselves to vote forum; and given the exchange of personal insults with Rubio, Rubio’s 22%-25% will never vote for Trump. His unfavorables among women are staggering. We cannot let this snake oil salesman sabotage the conservative movement. Several senators and Congress-members are fearful that with Trump heading the ticket, we may lose the Senate as well. This is dangerous stuff.

I thought you Trump supporters were just telling the rest of us Trump was winning the hearts and minds of Hispanic voters. Just not this judge apparently.

Apparently. But so what? Only collectivists expect the individuals making up groups to act identically. Trump is only reflecting on what he's experienced from this actual judge.

I guess that's why you're confused.

Agreed. They are PAID to post thread after thread, comment after comment to give the impression Trump is not popular on FR.

WRONG

Trump continues, CONTINUES to be the preferred Republican Presidential Candidate in 2016 on Free Repbulic.

Hope Trump accepts Republican Nomination on 7/21/2016 in Ohio, just 21 weeks from now. And then to again win as President of the United States of America on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, as 46th President of the United States, which will be the 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election.

Oh and a side note, please let Sarah Palin be a guest speaker at the convention. The Establishment shunned her 4 years ago and it would be a pleasure to see her personally invited by Trump as a guest speaker on one of the nights. Other suggested speakers would be Rudy, Chris Christie and Newt Gingrich. NOT Mitt Romney.
