I recall that very well. But I also remember Reagan never talking about opening libel laws to intimidate opposition, never hearing Reagan talking about government paying for people’s health care, Reagan never praised the use of force by dictators against their citizens, never praised Planned Parenthood, used left wing talking points to push for government largess...
And, despite the hostile press, Reagan just smiled and spoke around them and didn’t go into baby hissy fits because they wrote nasty things about him
