Okay so how do you convince a checker at Walmart that that quarter is worth more than twenty-five cents? And as for those $35 quarters, my bank told me that.
Passing strange, isn't it?
Go to any metals dealer online, and you will find the REAL answer. Try Apmex, JM bullion, etc.
If I had any silver I’d melt it down and make bullets. Duel purpose that way.
Source please?
Who is still interested in dueling?

$154.75 currently.
That’s 7.15 oz of silver.
If the balloon goes up, currency will change. It will become something you can hold in your hand and something that can buy things you can carry.
As with any currency, rarity equals value. But practicality demands that value has to be readily exchangeable.
An oz of gold isn’t conveniently breakable. Even an oz of silver in a currency down situation is a big coin. 6 silver quarters are roughly an oz, 11 are 2 ozs due to rounding. That’s convenient currency.
What will it be valued? Who knows but if Walmart still has cashiers, it’s not an issue.
My thanks. :)
You’re a dick. I mean that in the most Californian way.
When the ballon goes up Walmart will not be open. At that point the best currency is heavy metals (lead, copper, silver and gold) supplemented by powder.
The quarters are a little overpriced imo, I like 1oz bars a silver shot/grains.
Government schools are NOT failing. They are SUCCEEDING. They were always DESIGNED to turn out ignorant, illiterate, unthinking, anxious, conformists.
They are somewhat overpriced. In my view, buying junk silver is a hedge on everything going south. I buy much more 22LR than I can routinely use for the same reason.
While any silver should be much more easily converted to use as currency than gold, quarters will be easily identifiable and quantifiable.
I’m paying a premium over spot silver because I believe the familiarity will be worth the extra cost if its ever needed for its intended use in my buying it. In the meantime, I might currently be paying $20/oz for $15/oz for silver, but it’s still a bunch of silver I’m collecting.
Your point is taken though, junk silver is over priced for silver.
