Yes, this is definitely a spiritual war and people are untrained and unarmed.

Gear UP!

Some of you folks need to read about what happened to Atahualpa and Huascar of the Inca empire.

I remember an Ecuadorian colleague explaining to me the conflict between them and Peru, explaining all about Atahualpa and Huascar... and getting upset about it.

:)

Trump told the DREAMERs “you have convinced me”. Trump uses illegals in construction projects. Trump uses H1 visa employees.Based on industry statistics, Trump hotels (if only average) probably employee thousands of illegals.

But maybe if you copy/paste that same quote and YouTube link a few more times, all that Trump stuff will magically disappear...

I keep, in my gentle way, trying to remind people that at the end of this, whoever comes out on top, will need his opponent’s partisans to unite with him with a whole and willing heart.

This kind of crap only makes it more difficult. It does no good to find the ninja knockout punch that takes your opponent out of the race, if it also alienates his supporters and they don’t come out for you willingly.

Whether Cruz or Trump wins, the winner needs his vanquished foe to bless his candidacy for November so that his supporters will fall into line behind the winner.

I ignore most of the mud-flinging on both sides, and most of the propaganda, I call it the noise machine. We knew who these people were before the campaign started; that’s who they are. Whichever person you support, you’ve already factored in his defects in context of his greater qualities and qualifications. So ignore the noise machine, and for heaven’s sake don’t make yourself part of it.

I read through these threads and whatever mud has been flung by the candidates, it pales compared to the mud flung by their supporters. If I paid attention to what their supporters were saying there is no way I could support their candidate. But I don’t pay attention.

You hate Trump/Cruz? Whichever? Fine. Support your man. But remember that the other guy’s supporters have to willingly support your man after the fight is over; don’t make it impossible.

They both better get on their A game soon.

I'm afraid that we've seen the A game, unfortunately.

It's like banging your head against the wall, isn't it?

You make a post about how stupid and divisive we are being and shooting ourselves in the foot.

Then, right out of the gate, the first several replies are stupid and divisive.

We'll keep shooting, apparently.

There is nothing "dishonorable" about the photo.

This IS the problem with the nation and why all of this is happening. People simply can not tell what is right and wrong anymore. Looks like we're about to get a lesson. Unless this type of thinking changes, we have no hope.

Then, all bets are off, because we will slip into civil war.

Well, at least someone on this forum can see and admit what is about to happen.

Bears repeating over and over. Everyone settle down and quit reacting to stupid stuff.

Was in a hurry. Didn’t finish. All of this about alleged affairs by Cruz is just filth thrown out for the hogs to fight over. I would have answered immediately, “Go talk to Bill Clinton. He’s the expert on that subject.” and had nothing else to say.

Agreed on all counts. Thanks for a fine post.

Exactly. It’s like the recent debates which were designed for the candidates not to discuss policy differences, but more like, “Let’s you and him fight.”

ZULU, I agree with your point that the GOPe is finally being exposed. Dear God help us.

....”showing one’s wife in a less-than-honorable photo (all people make mistakes)”.....

Are you kidding? That was no “mistake” it went with her job at the time and she was fully aware of her choice and that it was for “publication”, so lets not call it something other than what it is....which seems to be the mantra of some posters supporting Trump.

....”What we are watching is the death of a political party
and the continued slow death of a republic.....I think in both cases, we are looking at a future of Soviet style socialism.....In the very near future”.....

There will be, and fast becoming, a void ...so “something else” will be quick to replace it and that doesn’t look to be a good thing by any means.....to watch this “Republic” be shaken as it is is more than troublesome because as I see it there’s nothing good in line to replace it.

They’ve pretty much fractured the Conservative wing of the party already......won’t take much to do the rest in where things are at currently.....and the Demorats are loving it.

That party will be Himself.....if you think otherwise he can invent a new party you’re mistaken...it won’t be a Party.

One of the appealing points about Trump is that his life has been public for so long that it gives him some level of immunity against the fact that the MSM spreads the message that anyone who threatens the status quo is a lunatic.

I can't even begin to count the number of times so-called conservatives right here on FR have jumped on the MSM's bandwagon to trash good non-establishment candidates. It is disheartening, and leads to situations like 8 years of a socialist occupying the White House.

Apparently, even though Trump's life is open and public, some conservatives *still* choose to believe the MSM and echo its message. Sad.

Well Trumps life was not appealing to me from the get go. His NYCity roots and manner of how he conducted business was all to well known....he’s been playing “politics” a very long time though he claims on one hand he’s not political while on the other he’s bought off and smooged with them throughout his life. ...and admits he is one of them.

I don’t consider Trump even close to Conservative....but it’s played for her to claim as much. I don’t think he cares either way when it came to determining which party he would play from when he decided to run.....he simply took the side that was most favorable to give him the chance...and the Demorats didn;t want him...they know him well.

It would also be fair to say the media is fully exposed for what they are as well.....and have been even before the election.

So? In order to succeed, one MUST negotiate. At the high level of business where Trump has found success, a lot of that negotiation is with politicians--people who have power to utterly destroy someone who doesn't play by THEIR rules.

The fact that Trump was able to manage the greedy politicians well enough to be able to build a successful business empire is, to me, a plus in his book. This shows that he has the skills to negotiate with anyone--including those who would destroy us, those that Obama bows and apologizes to as if showing weakness will soften them towards us.

I don’t consider Trump even close to Conservative....but it’s played for her to claim as much. I don’t think he cares either way when it came to determining which party he would play from when he decided to run.....he simply took the side that was most favorable to give him the chance...and the Demorats didn;t want him...they know him well.

He understands economics: that is conservative. He understands the dangers of unchecked illegal immigration: another conservative view. He understands that kumbaya won't bring world peace: yet another conservative view. Etc.

If your view of a perfect "conservative" is someone who speaks 100% conservative moral values but has no financial savvy and no record of being able to stand up to liberal bullies, then so be it. People who won't vote unless it's for a "perfect" conservative gave us Obama. Since there are no perfect human beings, I'm going for the tough guy who has proven that he can stand up for himself and get things done.

Remember, Cruz is just another talkative lawyer without a history of accomplishment.
