During the 2008 Housing crash/economic crash, the Feds had contingency plans that had contingency plans to keep things going, the same contingency plans never saw the light of day. Anyone that thinks the economy will crash is likely deluding themselves. Should it crash? Absolutely. Every bit of economic wisdom says it should have done so many years ago, but somehow it stays afloat, thanks to FedGov contingency plans that have contingency plans that have contingency plans.
And the bankers are the ones that screwed us. I don’t think that the politicians will remain unscathed this time.

I think those waking up in this country are truly seeing a uni-party in DC and the gravy train it is trying desperately to defend. At this point, I don’t know what China’s move is going to do to our economy (inflation, hyper?). We are so far in debt already, will a couple trillion more make a difference? The Pol’s still have our retirements to raid if things get uber-serious.

That's the point - it's not just "he". It's they, including "his" predecessor, as well as his replacement, be it Hitlery, Bernie or Cruz. "They" - the political elites - will not allow themselves and their families to live in a mad max type of world following economic collapse. There may come a time when they can no longer sustain it, but that's likely quite a few administrations away.
Oh no. We may soon see that Pelosi eyes bugged out and deer in the head light face. Take cover.
