The New York City Council Monday honored Ethel Rosenberg, the convicted Soviet spy who was executed for treason at the height of the Cold War.

The proclamation honors Rosenberg on her 100th birthday for leading a 1935 strike against the National New York Packing and Supply Co. Eighteen years after the strike, Rosenberg, husband Julius, and her brother David Greenglass were indicted by the federal government for passing nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union.

“Ethel Rosenberg was wrongfully executed in 1953 which resulted in her two young children becoming orphans,” said NYC Council Member Daniel Dromm said. “Although nothing can erase this terrible loss of life, I am pleased to join my colleagues in the Council in posthumously acknowledging Ms. Rosenberg on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of her birth.”

From September, 2015 article. Perhaps this is what Cruz meant by New York values. Works for me.

When socialism and communism are no longer considered unwholesome those who most infamously served them are likely to be reconsidered.

She gave her life for a nation and system that collapsed in 1991.

Although it lives on in the infantile leftists who run NYC and so much else.

Nice two-and-a-half with a full twist to get the Trump dig in there, but I still have to give a 4.8 for such a heavy-handed dismount.

Yes, expect Cruz to say Trump is an Julius/Ethel Rosenberg supporter. And issue a new advert with a Jello Box logo.

Let’s resurrect Stalin for President! Or Mao Tse-tung! Or Pol Pot! Raul Castro is getting kind of old.

As Cruz steals another state's delegates.

She was the most guilty in the whole ring. More so than Julius.
And what a cold hearted human being. She could have spared her
own life by simply telling what she knew. She let her kids become orphaned rather than to betray her fellow conspirators.
If that isn’t evil I don’t know what is.

Venona proved they were guilty. And Venona also caught Klaus Fuchs. But we didn’t want to execute a scientist the Brits brought in.

I just love it when they honor communist spies, and the masks come off.
I say we dig Ethel and Julius up and fry ‘em again. Their actions at the time put 200 million Americans at risk of murder at the hands of the Soviets.

The action of the NY council demonstrates their affinity for our enemies.
Not only will they not take steps to protect their citizens, they positively root for our enemies.

“Nice two-and-a-half with a full twist to get the Trump dig in there....”

Actually post was not about Trump. I can support either Trump or Cruz. It is about the other former New Yorker in the race- socialist Bernie Sanders who had he been on the city council would have thrown in husband Julius for a dual tribute.

Question: why does CNN, MSNBC and Fox announce the delegate counts on primary election nights if, in fact, the winners are not actually winning those delegates. I understand the super delegate thing.

She gave her life for a nation and system that collapsed in 1991

Which would have collapsed a lot earlier if the Soviet Union did not have a functioning fission bomb and especially not a functioning fusion (hydrogen) bomb.

But the information she, her husband and the piece of trash known as Klaus Fuchs helped the Soviets get those weapons, thus condemning tens of millions to lives of misery and millions more to death in the camps or firing squads.

Would there be a Red China without the Soviet Nuclear capability? Not NO, but HELL NO...we would have prevailed on the Korean peninsula and gone into Manchuria unimpeded.

Truman didn't want to start a nuclear war withe Russians who he knew would jump in with the Chinese. That's why MacArthur was stopped.

Are these scum kidding? The Rosenbergs should have been roasted over a hot fire for what they did. Far worse happened to millions of others because of them.

Blast from the past..

The Untold Story of Atomic Spy David Greenglass and How He Sent His Sister, Ethel Rosenberg, to the Electric Chair.

http://www.nytimes.com/2001/10/28/books/the-informer.html?pagewanted=all

Next the NY Times will weep and wail, fall down, wallow in the dirt, for Mary Surratt who was hanged for her part in the Lincoln murder.

Your first comment was....

"From September, 2015 article. Perhaps this is what Cruz meant by New York values. Works for me."

Cruz initiated that New York values dig at Trump.

Nice try, though.

A Commie bunch in Hew York claim that Rosenberg was “Wrongly executed?” What do they mean? Is she still alive? Was it too quick? Didn’t it work?

She was rightfully killed after trial because of high treason that to this day has put our nation in peril. Good riddance.
