JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Thursday that transgender people should be able to use whichever bathroom they choose, voicing opposition to part of a far-reaching North Carolina law that critics says is discriminatory.
Speaking at a town hall event on NBC's "Today" Thursday, Trump was asked about North Carolina's so-called "bathroom law," which, among other things, requires transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to the gender on their birth certificate in state government buildings as well as public schools and universities.
Trump said the law had caused unnecessary strife for the state, which he said had paid "a big price" economically.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate," said Trump. "There has been so little trouble."

It’s true...Since these perverts are such a minute segment of society, most of us aren’t likely to experience any problems in our own communities for the most part. I did have an encounter with one about 15 years ago, near Atlanta. It wanted to use the ladies’ dressing room where I was shopping, but that’s a different story.
At any rate, they’re actively in the process now of filing lawsuits. Eventually, they will likely purposefully relocate to smaller communities in order to file more lawsuits.
So how about we use sound judgment and do what we can to halt the nonsense? Otherwise, where does it end?
It isn’t just bathrooms. Let him be a woman, and he uses locker rooms, changing rooms, showers, women’s shelters.
The Department of Justice leaned on a public school district with threat of withdrawing funds because a transgender (mentally ill boy) wanted to use the girls’ locker rooms. They let him use a stall with curtain in the locker room, but he didn’t want to be treated differently. He sued and the federal government sided with him that he had a right to stand naked with a penis in front of girls and see them naked in order to feel like a girl.
80%+ of transgenders are men, and less than a quarter have the surgery.
So in the discussion on transgenders, it is mostly mentally ill men with penises demanding the right to use women’s bathrooms, showers, changing rooms.
As a woman, I don’t care if IT uses the bathroom if the male organs are removed. It is a eunuch.
When it has a penis, and especially since most of these freaks are still attracted to women, it is a crazy potential rapist.
Yes, saying mentally ill men in dresses get to use women’s facilities for their self esteem this is a great distraction from the destruction of America, while contributing to the erosion of the nation.
