In Dreams of My Father, or his other book, Obama writes of his father’s father being imprisoned and beaten by the British, after which, he, the grandfather, previously a British loyalist, rejected Britain and converted to Islam.

It was an important part of the family narrative to Obama, so I’d say Johnson is on to something, however inelegantly he phrased it.

His father and grandfather of course had nothing to do with the mau mau violence and was imprisoned and tortured by the British for jaywalking

And Rahm Emmanuel’s uncle was hanged by the British in Palestine for being a community activist

I wondered if it was obama or Rahmbo who got rid of the bust in such an insulting manner
