It’s been more than six years since Michelle Obama kicked off her “Let’s Move!” initiative to fight against childhood obesity, and children are as overweight as ever before.
That’s according to a new study published Tuesday in the journal Obesity. A team led by Duke University scientist Asheley Skinner studied data from the CDC’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) and found that the percentage of overweight and obese children between 2 and 19 years old has increased across the board since 1999.
That comes as bad news for the Obama administration, which has sought to force children to eat healthier foods and exercise more through the first lady’s “Let’s Move!” campaign and the Task Force on Childhood Obesity.

I see it at the grocery store all the time; fat and obese people loading up on chips, pop, candy, etc. and then paying with their EBT card, it's maddening!

My kids come home really hungry, and then lay siege against the refrigerator.
There hasn’t been any “real” food in our schools in many, many years. Even before Michelle the food was junk, full of salt and inedible in my opinion. Obesity cannot be cured with the mess they are serving because it is the cause.
It was never about obesity ... it was about control and an ego that soars above the clouds.

But the Obamas’ friends have made more money from the school lunch programs, and that is the important part.
That is so true
I worked in a school district and was great friend with the facilities manager who worked there forever. And he would tell me that back in the day he did the grocery shopping for the kitchen, he would buy the beef or chicken at the butcher shop in Trenton, and any thing elses the needed at the markets. He stated the school had a real chef in the kitchen, she was awesome, made everything from scratch, the old school way. The food was always good, never any complaints, and the school was smaller as well about 100 students bought lunch a day. He said the school served real lunches until about 1996 when the chef retired and the school was going through major expansion because of homes being built the school got larger, so they district went with a food service company serving warmed up meals that is common today.
Let her diminish her fat *ss for a start, and maybe then someone will listen.
Every day she wakes up as an angry black lady with a fat ass. Wouldn’t that make a person difficult to deal with?

I suspect you will find that ‘make our cafeteria more efficient’ is code for ‘enroll more kids in free lunches and count them as having eaten every day, no matter what.’
That’s what is so amazing. The fact that she is so breathtakingly hypocritical as to lecture others about their weight while she herself has problems with her weight. She should lead by example or sit down, shut up and scarf down her food (as she most likely does in privacy).
