About 70 students Wednesday surrounded a police car with SDSU President Elliot Hirshman inside it and demanded he apologize for his response to fliers posted on campus listing names of students who “have allied themselves with Palestinian terrorists to perpetrate (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) and Jew Hatred on this campus.”

President Hirshman would not agree to discuss this issue. The issue was a flyer released by David Horowitz organization that called out students of SDSU for supporting terrorist supporting groups. He was imprisoned by protesters for over an hour in a police car until he emerged and discussed the issue with the protesters.

My question is this: One young woman admitted blocking the college president inside his car. She is identified in one of the articles.

Is she not guilty of either kidnapping or false imprisonment? Does the size of anonymity of a mob protect wrongdoers from prosecution?

“In response to the flyers, the school issued an email that said it supports the rights of all parties to voice their opinions on political issues, whether supportive or critical.

The university, in the email, recognized that naming specific students because of their political beliefs could discourage others from taking part in political discussions.”

As if the SJP types even allow Israel supporters / BDS opponents to even speak...

From ‘SDSU Student Protest Against President Hirshman’ Facebook page wrt flyers:

“We are calling on San Diego State University students and supporters to join us in protesting President Elliot Hirshman for his pathetic email to the SDSU community that was a response to flyers and ads by the David Horowitz Freedom Project that specifically named SDSU students as being terrorists and terrorist sympathizers.

In the email, President Hirshman essentially stated that students who are activists must accept that their actions have consequences and that people have a right to free spech, which we completely agree with. However, what President Hirshman fails to understand that LIBEL and DEFAMATION are not protected forms of free speech.

Furthermore, President Hirshman waited nearly a full two weeks until he decided to respond to the incident. This clearly shows that he did not take this seriously at all from the beginning. If a students name, reputation, and safety, isn’t to be taken seriously by our President, then we ask, what is?

President Hirshman failed to use the word ‘condemn’ once in his entire email. A simple word that carries so much weight and importance was omitted by him, intentionally keep in mind. When an outside organization publicly and explicitly attacks YOUR students, we expect our president to protect us and ensure that he cares. The response we got was insulting and underwhelming.

In addition, the flyers very specifically mentioned the Muslim Student Association and Students for Justice in Palestine as being associated with terrorism and terrorists. This is blatantly Islamophobic and, once again, President Hirshman failed to even mention this aspect of the flyers in his email.

As tuition paying students of this university, WE have the right to expect better from our President and tomorrow will demand it of him.

We hope you will join us.

Did you see the video of the protesters imprisoning the university president, Dr. Hirshman? Not good publicity for their religion, if covered by the media.

If this is so, why don't they address this in the judicial system?

In a police car? Rhetorical questions: Why wasn’t he freed by other police? Why wasn’t a riot control team deployed? Did he forget what a gas pedal was since he could have been in fear for his life? Are any of the demonstrators going to be charged and expelled HAHA?

+10

But they know the meaning if “discussion”, SJP and MSA just won’t allow it.

Muslim Student Association is listed in the Explanatory Memorandum entered into evidence at the Holy Land Foundation trial. They are as up to their necks in it as the Muslim Brotherhood.

From the Alice in Wonderland world of usabi.org:

“Placing these posters on the SDSU and UCLA campuses is a McCarthyite tactic, clearly intended to threaten the academic and professional prospects and careers of campus pro-Palestine activists, to intimidate and silence. It is a fear-mongering tactic that places those named in danger of harassment and physical harm, both on and off campus.”

So, they want to support antisemitism in the shadows, without revealing their true identity, or without audit of their motives.

So these Palie-supporting groups want to be able to intimidate others into silence on the issue, and to be able to do so anonymously? So masked brownshirts, effectively?

No sale.

You beat me by 16s, and I’m a little more blunt about where I think they’re at, but we are very much on the same page.

Remember: Lying to infidels about "the religion of peace" is part of Islam.

Maybe Mao was on to something - sending all Chinese students out into the countryside to grow crops.
