India’s suffered more from Islamofascism than most - there’s a reason why the country split in two and booted most of their Muslims to Pakistan.

I have a portrait of St. Francis de Sales! He’s on the opposite side of the desk. I’m a Catholic but love the little images from Hinduism. I’m looking for a comparative religion course in my area. It used to be taught at high school and college level but I don’t see it much anymore.
Just as in the centuries-old Israeli/Palestinian conflict, I pray President Trump is able to break through the intractable religious-based hatred spreading around the globe. He talks about how children are indoctrinated to hate others who do not adhere to their faith. There also seems to a level of socioeconomic unrest (poverty) at the root of this carnage.
It is heartbreaking to see the devastation ravaging Europe, with Sharia law taking hold and even the recent election of a Muslim mayor in London.
I pray again that, under perhaps the divine intervention of President Trump, we may all one day in the not-to-distant future be able to eradicate the scourge of religious persecution!!!

BTTT - I am hearing lots of support for Trump from Americans of Indian origin. He has his detractors too - mostly Muslims & communist types but that’s expected from these Quislings.

My wife worked in Nursing homes and multi-level care facilities for many years. There are people from many cultures who work as nurses and nurses aides, not to mention doctors. People from India are almost all very hard workers and mostly conservative. They have very well behaved children. They assimilate well into our society. Unfortunately, many people mistake them for Muslims.
My wife has worked with surprisingly few foreign born Muslims or black people who have converted. But the Muslims she has worked with have been difficult to get along with. They have mostly had a "holier than thou" attitude and many have demanded special treatment. When they have been told they are not doing a good job they claimed they were being discriminated against. The Muslims tended to get in lots of arguments with other employees. They didn't make friends and the other employees were often afraid of them. Her experiences as a supervisor with Muslims have been universally bad and this has been especially true with male employees who have been both dishonest and have made physical threats of violence against her and other employees when confronted about basically anything.
In contrast her experience with employees from India and Indian decent have on the other hand have been universally good.
I have mixed feelings about Indians. On the one hand, my doctor is a Hindu and is delightful as well as very good. But when I go into Macy’s and the line is held up because an Indian is actually trying to haggle over a swimsuit as if we were in the bazaar, I go crazy. Not to mention the bank tellers who dread handing money over to me! Or the one who insisted at the grocery store that some item was for free and held up the line for 20 minutes until a revolt occurred. As my mother used to say: “They’re money people.” Boy, is she right about that!
But the doctors at the hospital she goes to are very good. And they don’t hold up the line!
Oh that is so cool that you collect the beautiful Indian art! We also have a few pieces. Shiva dancing in the fire is quite lovely - I think it is called the “Nataraj.”
One of my favorites is the Ganesha figure - the elephant headed God. It would seem that that would also be appropriate for this election cycle! LOL! We definitely need the proper manifestation of the Elephant for the GOP to be resurrected into a higher better form!
I’m a Christian, but do enjoy knowing about many other religions. The people who devoutly (not fanatically) worship tend to have much more in common than they realize.
If you look at the deep MYSTICAL traditions of the various world religions, one can make a case that they all are saying the same general things about the One True God who reveals Himself to the true seeker.It is quite fascinating.
Of course, Hindus are polytheistic (and have been taken to the woodshed over it by some of their priests!) so it’s very easy to collect their gods - who come in all different disguises; Krishna turns into somebody else on occasion. My little Ganesha is lying in his side in comfortable fashion. I’m still looking for one that has a mouse on his shoulder - I’ve heard about that.
I love the ‘Nataraj’! His foot, I believe, is crushing ignorance. They all represent something positive - no matter how frightening they look.
That is funny! That would make a good comedy routine for a situation comedy because many people have seen the same type of thing play out.
I was selling some exercise equipment on Craigslist. Weights that are not in a machine are called “free weights”. I put an add up that was headlined, “Weight Set including 750 Pounds of Free Weights, $395”. I had an Indian guy who said he wanted just the “free weights”. After I explained it to him and we went round and round... he still insisted that my ad was misleading and flagged it.
That is hilarious! Priceless. There are several on-line forums in NJ dedicated to discussing Indians’ stingy ways.
In London, there was a comedy show about an Indian family (there are several) in which they interview famous people in between eating large meals and quarreling. One show, they forced Tom Jones to vacuum the living room! I think it was called the Kumars or something.

That’s a funny story.
In both of my trips to India I observed that even among the very poor, Indians have a kind of spirituality shining from their faces. I did not detect sadness or anger or resentment. But kindness and inexplicable happiness.
When I was in Islamic Morocco years earlier, the eyes of the very poor and those above them reflected xenophobia, paranoia and hatred toward foreigners. Scary stuff. But this may have changed with the dramatic Westernization of the culture there.
Again, not scientific. Just an observation. India has a spiritual soul emanating from its population of Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and others sects too numerous to mention.
Of course, that was all well before globalization and the millennial call centers in India which have begun to tear at the cultural fabric of the country even while raising incomes.
Take that, London Mayor Kahn.
