For the past few weeks I have been hearing the SAME drum beat in my head whenever I read or watch stories about Donald Trump. Specifically about Trump victories as he vanquishes all opponents in his path as he surges forward.
At first the sounds of the drums were infrequent but with each passing day as I either read more Trump stories or watched stories about him on TV, the distinctive drum beat became more ubiquitous until now I can't read nor watch any Trump story without that drum tune in my head.
So what is the tune? It sounded vaguely familiar so today I started analyzing it and finally found it on YouTube in this "Sing, Sing, Sing" VIDEO from 2:28 to 2:45. However, instead of lasting just 17 seconds, the drum beat I hear in my head is continuous loop and lasts as long as it takes for me to read the Trump story or watch the TV report.

I like it. It has the relentless drive of the Trump phenomenon. It sounds like the Trump train moving down the tracks. For trivia buffs, that’s Gene Krupa on drums.

I miss Barbara Simpson. A woman of wisdom. She was taken off our Bay Area terrestrial radio a year ago. Snatched away. Barbara wanted to focus on doing talk radio, not also multitask on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as they expect these days.
