I offered a common-sense approach and a reasonable solution to the issue of transgendered customers: a unisex bathroom. Target should keep separate facilities for men and women, but for the trans community and for those who simply like using the bathroom alone, a single occupancy unisex option should be provided.

From what I’ve read, the new law in California would only apply to single stall bathrooms. Even they get it.

Target is shooting themselves in the foot on this issue. The American people know this transgender bathroom agenda is opening the door for worse things to come. They will take Target down financially with the line in the sand that Target dares to cross.

Not really. Target provides trendy designed cheap items at a low price.
Good design, not quality, have been Target’s hallmark.
Interesting to see Walmart catch up to it in housewares.

Yep - single use toilets are the way to go. Anything else screws with other folks' sense of morality and opens the door for some serious crimes/accusations. Putting a "female" with male genitals in an open bathroom/locker room make that person the focus of those who will joke/sneer/mock - why would that person really want to be in such an environment unless that was the intent - to shock?
Same goes the other way - female genitals in a male environment - no good can come of it unless the real goal is to cause conflict, sacrifice some for the "good of all" as they crush any outward defiance of having such forced upon the people.
When JC Penny embraced the homosexual culture and started shoving it down our throats via commercials showing same sex couples, they suffered as well. Has that company recovered??
