BOSTON —President John F. Kennedy’s love letter to an alleged secret mistress will be put up for auction by RR Auction.

The four-page love letter was written to Mary Pinchot Meyer, a Kennedy family friend and wife of CIA agent Cord Meyer, in October 1963, a month before the president’s assassination.

She was killed just three weeks after the release of the Warren Commission Report, and after stating that she disagreed with it's findings. A little more than just 'mysteriously', I would say.

She was murdered out in the open.

Well connected, her brother-in-law was Ben Bradlee of the Washington Post.

A definite paramour of JFK’s, her death was obviously accomplished to silence her and probably as a warning to others.

Another chapter of the tale is the search for her diary after her death, which chronicled the affair.

There was a vested interest in keeping “Camelot” alive after JFK’s death, and Meyer was an inconvenient roadblock which could have derailed it.

Some say the movie “An American Affair”-2008-with Gretchen Mol, parallels the story of Meyer, including the murder of Mol’s character, who plays a fictional JFK mistress.
