Conservative radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt believes Republican delegates should change the convention rules and nominate someone other than Donald Trump for president.
On his Wednesday morning show, Hewitt likened sticking with the presumptive GOP nominee to “ignoring Stage 4 cancer. You can’t do it, you gotta go attack it.”
“And right now the Republican Party is facing — the plane is headed towards the mountain after the last 72 hours,” he said.

So sad to see the bright Mr. Hewitt just totally lose it.
I listened to his show for hours and read his books. I admired him for his lawyer skills, excellent guests and multi-tasking. Now the mask is off. Like Seneca said, Hewitt is drinking salt water as if it will quench his thirst. Doh!
Hewett should try convincing our veterans and see how that turns out for him.

I’m not sure Hewitt would actually do anything but spew his big mouth; my concern is the other nut-job who will take his suggestion to serious consequences.
I hope and pray someone who has Hewitt’s confidence will step forward and pull Hewitt back from the abyss.

There was just another article about Michael Reagan saying he will not vote for Trump and that his late Father wouldn't either. But Hewitt takes the anti-Trump rhetoric to a whole new level, showing he has totally lost his sanity.
Yep - kind of ironic that so many, self-titled "principled conservatives" would "change the rules to save the people from ....the People" by taking the will of the People totally out of it - and they call the Left despots....
Hewitt used to brag and condescend to his listeners that Harriet Miers would be W's Supreme Court nominee whether you like it or not, so just get used to it.

Why doesn’t Hugh call Billie Krystal and tell him that Hugh will run as the third party candidate. Trump will have no choice be to remove himself from the ticket. No way Trump can stand up to Hugh.
